Missed that when I saw the picture earlier :D

:(

As long as you've left enough slack on the network cables, I'd just unbolt and pull the patch panels forward if you wanted to add more :)
That's not as easy as just poking my fingers through to feed it through the patch panel. Hehe why I have done it this way.
This rack is about 12 foot into the air so everything is done on ladders the less messing around the better.

Sometimes auto neg doesn't work as well as it should, you could try forcing manual 10 Gbps/full, or reinserting it.

Ill give that a go...

What is the SFP model number and what switch is it in?
Ubiquiti UF-MM-10G 10-Gigabit Multimode Fibre SFP+ Transceiver, LC Connector

Its an aggregation switch (USW-Aggregation)

I don't think I've ever seen auto neg not work when using fibre modules.

Is it definitely linked at 1Gbps? I've seen UniFi report a wrong link speed in the UI a couple of times before, though mostly with copper.

Bullet 6 arrived today. Ubiquiti have really upped their packaging game! Unboxing was a treat. Straightforward install as always. Nice to see the mounting system remains compatible with the older ones, I could have simply put it onto my G3 Pro mount but that's showing its age so swapped it all out anyway.

AI detection appears to work as expected and will start playing about with the Alarm Manager on Known/Unknown/Of interest VRMs when I get some detections. Curious to see what level of integration I can get with HomeAssistant.

Does it work in a different SFP+ slot? Do you have any 1Gb SFP modules in the slots around the 10Gb one?

Just ordered an Express 7, the start of the journey! I am trying to keep the setup basic for now but may add another AP depending on how this performs :).

The UDR7 has 4 x RJ45 ports which I had understood to be 3 x LAN and 1 x WAN, plus one SFP+ port for a second WAN. Looking at ports settings in the control panel, RJ45 port 4 has a drop-down to choose between LAN or WAN and SFP+ Port 5 has the option for WAN2 or LAN.

Does anyone know if the following configurations are possible?:

- Port 4 set to LAN to make it a 4-port router and use the SFP+ port with an RJ45 adapter for WAN, or
- Port 4 remains as WAN but set Port 5 to LAN and use this as a 10GB link to a separate switch

I don't have an SFP to RJ45 adapter to test and don't want to go an buy one if it's not going to achieve anything.

Cheers.

Yes to both I think.

You probably can’t set port 5 to WAN 1 because you’ve probably set port 4 to WAN 1 already.

Any port should be able to be configured between WAN and LAN according to the information I saw.
