Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare / Warzone (Battlenet ID's in OP)

The lowest latency on PS5 Pro in the VRR anti lag mode is 9.7ms. It’s worth watching Digital Foundry’s video on it as it explains it in more detail - but it’s hard to explain how good it feels.

I can get 200+ fps on my PC and it feels smooth like any other high fps game I play - but on the Pro with this “anti-lag” mode it just feels so snappy and immediately responsive. I’d still choose to play on PC 95% of the time but it’s really cool to see what they’re doing to help improve responsiveness and latency on consoles.
Im all for improving console features and might even change to console in future.
I would like to try a PS5 pro and compare it to my desktop. I fear the graphics wont be as nice as 4k native with a mix of low, medium and high settings pulling 130 - 200fps on a 240hz OLED monitor with Gsync enabled.

No of course, I think the benefits of console gaming has always been how simple it is. You don't have to fiddle around with settings, you start the game, pick your graphical preference (typically 'fidelity' or 'performance' and you crack on).

That has it's benefits - but equally I love tinkering on my PC to find the best balance between visuals and performance. Both have their place - and it's nice that consoles are able to see improvements when it comes to things like latency or options around refresh rate (30 vs. 40 vs. 60 vs. 120).

The low latency mode is typically ultra settings just below the extreme PC settings. The game is GPU bound on the PS5 because of the so the devs use the spare CPU time to pre calculate predictable data on the CPU. One of the benefits of having a closed system that can be measured very accurately.

Edit: Just including the link to that specific video. You can see from 9:43 where they test latency in this mode and the average ms is consistently below 10.

The 9.7ms figure they are measuring is how long it takes to render a frame, not total amount of input lag from pressing a button on your controller to getting a response on screen. I'd be very surprised if the PS5 Pro's total input lag was below 20ms.

The xbox controller has a lot more lag than the PS5 controller, it'll be there or thereabouts.

When I tested the latency on PC I was using a wired DualSense controller with a 1000Hz polling rate by overclocking it with hidusbf. One of the reasons I doubt the PS5 Pro is below 20ms is that overclocking the controller probably reduced the input lag by 2-3ms.

Is this the correct thread for Warzone or should I be using Black Ops 6?

Anyway, i'll continue. This game must have created countless argument with friends and also created new friendships. Yesterday was an argument day :D

I went out of position to the buy station at F3 (north of TV station) to get an armour box as we were all zero or 1 plate - map - https://wzhub.gg/map/verdansk/br
Teammates were on the big building overlooking roof (where the note says Roze was here on that map) I got the armour box but there was a team (all 3) on the stairs, I managed to kill one and get away using blast traps then got the armour box down in a ground floor room before I died and lost it completely.
One of my teammates (friends of +20 years) then had a fit because I didnt bring it to the roof for him! Oh, im sorry I spent all my money on armour, went out of position by myself, ran into a full team on the stairs and didnt manage to bring you your armour.

Warzone really does have the power to draw emotion and reasoning from people that infuriate me sometimes.

Not sure if this is the right place to ask but having some account problems. I'm logging into same Activision account both windows and mobile but there not the same accounts, on pc im level 235 or something but on mobile its 3? Does BO6 and COD Mobile sync? On my old tablet I was playing cod warzone mobile which syncs just fine but it wont run properly on my Tab S10 Ultra :( so thought i'd try cod mobile which runs great but wont sync the accounts. Checked my activision account and its synced to both xbox live and battlenet
