Im all for improving console features and might even change to console in future. The lowest latency on PS5 Pro in the VRR anti lag mode is 9.7ms. It’s worth watching Digital Foundry’s video on it as it explains it in more detail - but it’s hard to explain how good it feels.
I can get 200+ fps on my PC and it feels smooth like any other high fps game I play - but on the Pro with this “anti-lag” mode it just feels so snappy and immediately responsive. I’d still choose to play on PC 95% of the time but it’s really cool to see what they’re doing to help improve responsiveness and latency on consoles.
I would like to try a PS5 pro and compare it to my desktop. I fear the graphics wont be as nice as 4k native with a mix of low, medium and high settings pulling 130 - 200fps on a 240hz OLED monitor with Gsync enabled.
