The trick to Bedford is to live in one of the many very pretty and quiet rural villages near Bedford, not in the centre, and then take advantage of the very quick train into London

Exactly this, the villages are lovely.

We can get to the station in 8mins, the take either the quick EMR train to St.Pancras or the semi-fast Thameslink that stops through Faringdon, London Bridge etc.

Town might be dumpy in the middle, but on the west side there's some great spots and incredible eateries.

Easy to get to Luton airport, LHR isn't far, Stansted similar. Great routes to the M1, good shopping in MK.

Plus I love the village I live in, have a cracking local pub and another pub a stones throw from my door that has been taken over and serves incredible Nepalese cuisine, where you can either dine or pub/watch sports. Great walks, driving roads, more pubs and villages, local water park and great garden centres

Bring on Universal.

The hundreds of thousands of UK citizens that currently spend an eye watering amount of money to travel to the US to go to Universal and Disney parks.

People who think the cost to go to the US to visit Universal and Disney parks is insane and therefore don't go.

People who enjoy theme parks in general. The fact is Universal will be on a different level compared to the current UK based theme parks.

The additional Tourism this will generate from Europe and further afield.

It’s OK not to like theme parks (not everyone can handle joy in their lives) but let’s not pretend this isn’t a positive thing.

Adult: £106.25
Child: £103.20

So you're probably not far off.

I reckon it'll probably do well in the first 2 years then fall off a cliff due to admission costs, if these are accurate.

Worth noting that Universal also consider kids 10 and above to be adults....

Trump hates Hollywood generally, he probably hates Brian Robert's even more because he's actually an accomplished businessman with respect to Comcast and that company's history. But yeah, no idea why we GAF what Trump's DEI nonsense is when it comes to this park.
