Thank you, much appreciated. :)

The weather could be tricky, it was snowing a few days ago, now it’s forecast to be 20’c+ so makes packing clothing more difficult :p

This will be my 6th time visiting Poland and it’s honestly one of my favourite countries to visit now, I adore the people, the language and the scenery. :D

Lots of Pierogi and Gołąbki for me.

"Scenery"

I just got the Sigma 70-200 F2.8 for L-mount, I thought that was pricey, the Canon is nearly 3x the price!

Yeah it's not cheap but, when the 'standard' RF appeared with the extending barrel, I hated the design and said I'd never upgrade my EF. Then they released this thing, damn them!

Feels beautiful in the hands and noticably lighter than the EF, more-so with the adapter attached.

At £10 per 35mm roll for TIFF scans, I’ve dropped a small fortune on film scanning so far. Picked this up on eBay for £200 which is about half the going rate. Will hopefully pay for itself in a few months.

Reminds me of Kodak Photo CD back in the day where, alongside having your film developed, you could have the images scanned and put on a CD.

I did it a few times and recall being amazed and the whole concept of a digital version of my pictures I could view on a computer.

Oh how far we've come.

I dropped my FM2 in Hong Kong...went for a wee, hung up my bag on the hanger on the door in the stall. Turned around and then heard a thud, thought it would be fine as it's in the bag with my X100VI....I even shot an entire row of Velvia in the following week that has been already loaded into the camera.

At the end of the trip at the hotel I wanted to take the film out but after winding it back I can't seem to pull the lever up, then upon closer inspection I notice it has been bent in the corner, by quite a bit. It must have been where the impact was.

In terms of new gear, I did pick up a Viltrox 27/1.2 for about £260 and a new Godox trigger for £50.

Oh no! Hope it hasn’t leaked any light in and ruined your roll. I’m looking forward to seeing how that Velvia turns out.

Keen to hear your thoughts on the Viltrox. 27mm on an X-S10 is my favourite digital combo.

I am going to call up insurance tomorrow to make a claim, then once I have a replacement then I will look into getting the camera open. I tried my hardest to pull the dial and it will not come up. Without it coming up I cannot turn the switch on the collar to open the door.

As for the Viltrox, it is great so far. Only used it to take photos of stuff I bought from HK this morning but it's fast, SILENT focusing and very nice bokeh. It's a good balance on the XS-10.

A table top tripod I got for £20. No idea of names, in fact the leg and head came separately....they happen to fit like they belong together! Imagine a camera shop with like a hardware store and I just ask for a tiny tripod leg and the owner was suggesting this and that then I ask for a ball head.

Tbh I used a manfrotto 405 geared head for years and it sucked, just too big and heavy.

This thing is simply a miniaturised version of the same thing, but much more compact and lighter.

I can’t get on with ball heads so it was a toss up between this or the d4,
