Games you're playing, and games...

Trying to enjoy Atomfall but I'm getting the sound bug literally every 4-5 minutes which necesitates completely shutting the game down and restarting. I read that if you adjust the autosave frequency to its maximum that its helped some folk, but it doesn't seem to make a difference for me. Also encountered a random bug where your movement is severely restricted and you can only move slowly like you are moving through treacle. Happened twice near where the Druids are in the Woods.

Unfortunately the sound bug for me is a game breaker. Will go back to Atomfall if/when a hotfix or patch gets released. Shame as its a very interesting and gorgeous looking game.

Got a week off. And after finishing the incredible KCD2, I’ve got Fallout 4 loaded up with all the add ons. Haven’t played properly since release and never did the ad ons. Runs flawlessly on “visuals” setting, And 60fps. Looks pretty good

4 and a half ish hours into Atomfall. Really not sure about it at all. Aside from the annoying sound glitch, I'm trying hard not to be bored.

To begin with, the quirky/quaint English countryside setting is a bit different but in a good way. Kinda getting Everybody's Gone to the Rapture vibes. Visually it's nice, but the landscapes and settings are becoming samey.

The combat is fairly repetitive but for me one of the biggest issues is plot wise, it just all seems a bit disjointed. Almost every time you speak to an NPC, you're given another snippet of story/plot which is the usual 'go here/speak to this person/then go somewhere else or come back to the initial NPC who gave you the hint or task'. These all soon mount up to the extent that because of a huge list of things to go and follow up, you soon get a bit lost story wise and loose track of where you are supposed to be, who you need to talk to and what you need to do once you've spoken to said NPC's.

Maybe it's just me, but there's no 'flow' and as such no particular impetus to work through all the many listed tasks to complete. It doesn't even seem to be a case of it being distinctly divided into main missions/side missions. Now, I did read in a few previews of the game that it was designed as such and they wanted to leave it up to you to to roam and explore as you choose. So again, maybe I'm missing the point there.

I'll keep at it for a bit longer, but it seems the more I play it, the more I'm getting disinterested in delving any further.

It's certainly not one of those 2:00am in the morning 'just one more go' games, from my point of view anyway!

Let's hope they fix that sound bug soon!

50 hours in to AC Shadows and it’s brilliant. The best AC game since Odyssey and possibly even better. Playing in immersive mode with full lip synced Japanese voice with English subtitles. HUD all off except in combat and yeah it’s a beautiful looking game as well. Naoe is my favourite because I love the shinobi/stealth stuff but Yasuke is pretty amazing too when you want to go full on in your face samurai. They’ve nailed this one.

Think I may get this. I was put off by initial previews plus I’m a bit ubisofted out. Not enjoyed an AC properly since Black Flag. Did buy Valhalla but didn’t get round to even installing it. The stealth ninjaing looks cool.

They’ve paired back the Ubisoft collectathon that was Valhalla massively. Mirage took it out a bit too much but this gets it just about right. The stealth is very well done I love just clearing whole castles with no one even knowing that I am there.

I'm playing Stellar Blade at the moment and really enjoying it. The slightly pervy fixation on the female characters isnt necessary though. Some of the voice acting is truly terrible too.

Almost finished with my first run of Khazan.

Honestly, my favourite Soulslike in years, and probably my favourite game in a long time to boot.

It's a brutal challenge, but enough to keep you coming back and improving yourself.

AI Limit next, I reckon.

Picked up Spacemarine 2 again and they made some balance updates and prestige perks and adjusted xp I believe. Once Hord mode is added It will be in a very good place!!

I never used to be a big fan of AC, then got Odyssey on PS Plus and I absolutely love it. Whilst not a big gamer, there is a ridiculous amount to do and see etc

Been loving KCD2 and was really invested in the game in Trosky, just got to Kutternberg the 2nd map and it's beginning to feel like a real slog now which is really annoying, not sure if its just me but the 2nd map seems to be much more less interesting than the first? Even started skipping dialogue which I didnt do any in Trosky! Feel gutted because it feels like a real shift in quality, I want to complete it but don't feel I am anywhere the end - sad face :( I may just need a break and come back to it :o

Trying my best to enjoy Atomfall but feels so basic, only about 3 hours in so I'll soldier on. Really hoping it grabs me like FO does everytime (Not trying to directly compare I must add!)
