Games you're playing, and games...

Still engrossed in KCD2. PSN says I’m at 116hrs … I honestly don’t want it to end :( :D
I've taken a (reluctant) break from it to play some other things -- Monster Hunter: Wilds, mostly.

Just got very annoyed at the (mild spoilers)
point you get arrested and left with nothing AGAIN, then forced into stealth to go up the tower, down, back again... ugh.

That bit is awesome! Saving Hans before he gets to swing in the gallows, proper “oh **** I gotta get my ass in gear”

It honestly pulled the pacing to a halt for me, after having started so slowly. Felt like things were just ramping up, getting more intriguing with the wedding (I took that route), then... *dump*

Glad you liked it, though! :D

I've been really enjoying AC Shadows. I'm currently concentrating on Kussa as my main weapon - I love the range and charge up on L2. I've just upgraded my smithing area to level 3 to unlock engravings so I can now start experimenting with builds. Unfortunately I've not found a legendary Kussa yet - but there is an assassination target that gives one which involves 3 missions to get to and I'm on the 3rd one so should have one soon.

I have got the legendary armour that fires a kunai at the nearest target after a successful assassination- that I absolutely love, I've engraved it with +20% armour break.

@jennidc you’re way more advanced than where I’m at. Sounds good! I’m just playing it on hard and going to places that I probably shouldn’t. The stealth is great I’ve mainly only played as Naoe so far and she’s awesome. Can’t wait to give it a proper go this weekend.

I keep getting side tracked too - every question mark that appears is too tempting

Getting stuck into Assassins Creed Shadows.. good game, so so so much to do though its unreal!
Yeah I am loving it too. 23 hours in. Just exploring still in the first region. The immersive mode with Japanese lip syncing and English subs is perfect for me - just what I’d hoped for. Great story so far.

The only issue I have is the poor framerate at your home hideout (stable, forge etc) which is odd because everywhere else it’s as smooth as anything. I don’t spend a ton of time there so I can live with it. Just read up on it and it’s deliberate. Really jarring to me though the switch to 30fps all of a sudden.

Agree. Lots of bang for buck in this game!

Yeah, I noticed the bad frames at the home hideout.. weird.

But like you said not the end of the world!

Started Atom Fall earlier today. 3 hours in and enjoying it so far, game looks good and loving the exploration. Had a few minor bugs, error with a save and lost audio, quitting and restarting fixed both.

I've put my playthrough of AC Shadows on hold this week - I was enjoying it and will definitely go back to it but Souls like games are my absolute favourite style of game. First Bezerker has firmly got me addicted - I've gone with a Great Sword build. It is an extremely challenging game but so rewarding the parry system is on a par with Sekiro. I paid for the Deluxe version so I've been playing it most of the week - if your into this style of game do not sleep on it - its an absolutely essential purchase.
