Seasonic to launch PRIME TX-1600 Noctua Edition power supply

I finally put my new machine together over the weekend and i have to say that it was a lovely PSU to work with but i'm a little upset over the electrical performance.
I'm measuring 11.72V at about 80W and 11.77V at 500W system load, i'm testing with proper multi meter off the 12V rail from the PSU. I guess that's technically within the spec but honestly i was expecting tighter regulation.

Having a silent PC is very important for me. But I am not sure I would tolerate this sort of pricing. I also reject the pricing of the new GPUs.

Not unexpected, I keep my rigs more silent by letting all components on the inside of the case heatsoak more than trying to keep them cool all throughout. This would have course have an impact on how well everything works over time.

But it looks like from some of the comments with the video it's more of an issue if you're at a place with lower input voltages, where amps are higher. Those in 230/240 areas like in the UK are likely only at best to run into the differences when it's running hot.

Still, very interesting to watch.

Unfortunately, you'll need to set up alerts for it, and possibly send a message to Noctua to ask about next approx availability time and snipe for one then. They're unfortunately a REALLY hot commodity item right now with it costing less than the Seasonic version.
managed to find one today. Backorder but expected delivery end of next week. I can wait for 1 more week. £437 delivered.

Managed to get one as well, being delivered tomorrow but I won’t be able to use as I’m away.
I tried to get one a few weeks ago but it sold
out too quickly for me.

Got mine installed with an EATX motherboard, a super piece of kit with those great cables. Using the 90 degree 24 pin ATX adapter and the native 12V-2x6 graphics card connection (H++). Finally got an even power spread across the six 12VHPWR cables on my ROG Astral GeForce RTX 5090.

You mean the PX version? Yeah, but then it's not exactly the same thing for comparision. The Seasonic and Noctua is TX, so it would make sense to compare prices of those two. Otherwise my £20 PSU from 20+ Years ago has them both beat.
yeah you are right its PX

What is the difference between 3.0 and 3.1 ATX tell me that pls

There doesn't seem to be any Seasonic psu of this class on sale in UK....

The GPU connector is the main difference. It had a slight redesign and the 3.1 spec - so it's safer than the one from 3.0 although the safety feature's mostly from the cable itself I believe, so might be possible to get same benefit from using a newer cable for the older 3.0 spec - but if you don't want the hassle of finding out the hard way it isn't, the 3.1 is guaranteed to be safer vs potential unknowns with the 3.0. This PSU also has 2x those GPU cables and ports, I am unsure if that is part of ATX 3.1 spec or just this PSU, but that's something here on this PSU; 3.1 also has a higher hold up time on the voltages it gives out vs 3.0, although other than spikes of outtages, I'm not sure what that's useful for.
