Red, Yellow, Green, Brown, Blue, Pink and Black. It's the General Snooker Thread!

Ronnie announes he is moving to Middle East.

I for one don't recall Judd his move out there, but maybe that's just me.

A good few months back both Ronnie and Judd have applied and received Hong Kong citizenship. They can now live there, most likely for tax relief and to promote Snooker in China.

There's another interview from an earlier stage of this championship where he was feeling a bit more positive and says he'll be going coachless in order to play more instinctively, but will also have a sports psychiatrist in his corner. Maybe that's the direction that will transform him?

O’Sullivan says he is aware of the issues he needs to correct, and will have sports psychiatrist Steve Peters in his corner. 'The Rocket' had been working with Mark Williams' coach Lee Walker, but will have no technical help going forward.

"I know what I need to correct," he said. "There will be no more coaches onboard, it will be just me and Steve Peters, trying to help me be a bit more instinctive and just try and find my own way of playing. I will commit to two years, even if it is terrible, and will give everything to play in the tournaments, practice and rest and rediscover the shots I have lost. I have lost the ability to strike through the ball. I have been scared to hit the ball, basically. I have been quitting on so many shots, no cue power, no touch, no feel, just thudding everything and mistiming. "
I read that as there will be no more cocaine :o

I've just read that there's no refund for tickets for today's afternoon session. People that paid to watch a word championship semi-final will instead get to watch an exhibition between Steve Davis and Dennis Taylor :D

Honestly a joke tbh. They paid to see a semi final, not Davis and Taylor perform their schtick for the hundredth time on top of the constant reminders you get every year during the WC. I imagine most of them would opt to still go anyway so it's not like it's going to burn a huge hole in their pockets. I get that games might sometimes fall in a way that you only see a frame or two but at least in that scenario you technically saw a semi final.

They are a money grabbing bunch, driven by the Hearns rather than the locations/hosts I guess? You have to buy a new ear piece every year, unless they've changed it.
