Anyone with a b58 get a fair bit of blue smoke after a long idle?

I was keeping the a/c on while waiting in the car for 30-45 mins. When I pulled away I noticed quite a large puff of white/blue smoke which continued for 5-10 mins then back to normal

Just wondering if that's normal for these engines or if I need to be booking it in for a check
I've never seen any blue smoke from mine *touch wood*, but then I've never let it idle for longer than 45 seconds, let alone 45 minutes.

Since picking up a 128ti on Monday I've noticed it has a lot of what I can only describe as a tyre noise / rumbling noise. Its quite bad at low speeds, most noticeable at about 25mph. It isn't too noticeable at higher or lower speeds but I think its still there. Its got PS4's fitted, which I think are new. I'm not sure if its tyre noise or could it be something else - any thoughts?

After a long time searching, I bought this M340i. I wanted a well spec'ed one and this one comes with the visibility, tech, comfort and premium packs.

Not noticed, but then I never idle that long.

The B58 engines do very slowly eat coolant (over 10,000s miles). I don't know if this is exacerbated under long idles.

I might be off to look at a couple of used M 135i XDrive next week. About -2-3 years old
Any thoughts or comments before I go? Eats tyres, engine explode type things :p
No previous experience of the make or model but on paper seemed a lot of performance for a decent price.

Not a BMW but had a similar issue on an older car - puff of white/blue smoke (oil) after idling - and it was the valve stem seals leaking oil. Difference was that was from short periods of idling and didn't last more than a minute or so after driving away.

Just watched this. Pretty sure it needs to be run in for the first 1000 km as it's on different oil?
I would never listen to advice from any of the BMW dealership employees, the amount of rubbish that comes out of their mouth is impressive. I suppose that talk works well with the average Joe. :p

I doubt he'll keep that for long, even if the car breaks, I bet BMW will fix it even if its ragged, you don't really want bad rep from a influencer with a large following that on top of that has ridiculously rich parents.
