Did you use a software solution or did you have to use a hardware solution to do the flash??

Pretty impressive results. You are getting 74fps which is what I get on steel nomad with a 9070XT pulse at game stable overclock settings.

+7.5% on Timespy
+8% on Steel Nomad

9070 XT scores 72 to 74 FPS (depending on where you look) in Steel Nomad which is around 7200 to 7400 points in DX12 which is how you ran it. If we go with 73 FPS your 9070 none XT now XT is 7% shy of a real 9070 XT. You can see why AMD limited the power to 220 watts.....

I reckon most 7090s could be XTs easily, it's not a massive stretch of the imagination

GPU vendors have put in Furmark detection counter measures because it used to cook GPU's fairly regular, its power virus software, it doesn't actually do much in terms stress testing especially modern GPU's, all it does is make the chip and its power stages burn.

Use 3DMark.

My pulse 9070XT was Samsung but that's on its way back for replacement as the coil whine was terrible. New one being delivered on Saturday but I'm a little apprehensive it might be someone else's return as the shop I bought it from are still showing a ~1 month delivery time.

Hottest vram temp I saw was 84 degrees whilst stress testing.

If my new one has hynix I'll update with temps as it will be a like for like comparison on the same cooler, case air flow etc

Quoting myself otherwise not sure my post would make sense. Had my replacement pulse since sunday and it does have hynix memory and the hottest temp I've seen is 88 degrees so a little warmer but I would also say my ambient temps were 1 or 2 degrees warmer than a week previous so really nothing in it.

me thinks there as been a driver update for the 9070's like AMD did with the 5000 GPU...

I'm benchmarking me new system (same GPU) and i cant get passed 2950mhz(core) and 2820mhz(ram)
but my GPU as done a lot faster in the passed.

it doesn't crash, but no matter when i set the cores wont pass the setting....
AMD did this with a GPU im not 100% on what model(it was a long time ago and im old..)it was but it used die as next the GPU up and with very easy OC your could match the speeds of said high tear GPU so AMD capped it with a hard lock in the driver.

my GPU as benched at 3100mhz / 2870mhz in the passed, ever loading that save file results in 2950mhz / 2820mhz
I'm still hitting 3300+ on my XT with latest drivers. Same performance as last 2.

How does it fair in Port Royal compared to an XT? It would be I interesting to see if RT scales the same as Raster.

20765 score back in March. I think I've tweaked my card since then to get slightly better performance. No idea how this compares to an XT let alone a none XT.

For comparison I'm 80 in Nomad and 34k in Timespy, but they are slightly better tweaked than the Port Royal config.
