The Radeon RX9070XT / RX9070 Owners Thread

Reasons, as a 9070 XT owner, I bought the 9070 XT over the 5070 Ti were because it is much better in the games I play, with some of them being more at the 5080 performance. I couldn't justify paying for the 5080 for the games I play, it also felt nerfed at its tier with only 16gb. 5070 Ti wasn't even a consideration due to costing more and performing worse with what I use it for.

OMG - I got slapped down for suggesting people might want to buy a 24Gb 5080...

Same.It started a few weeks ago I think with a update, now I can't even get through one game since the update yesteday
I did post a fix earlier which worked for me will try to find it

this worked for me

his issue was caused by the update messing with the shader files its not an "AMD" issue its a game issue

Remove the old files from documents folder remove following files

s.1.0.cod24.m s.1.0.cod24.txt0 s.1.0.cod24.txt1

https://www.reddit.com/r/CODWarzone/comments/1kcewtw/directx_crash_since_update/

I had to do this yesterday morning after the update it was a touch frustrating till I changed the files

If in doubt delete the whole documents file its worth a go

Unfortunately I tried this at the time and it made no difference at all for me. It cleared out all my settings, so I had to go back in and set them all up again and then it crashed just like before.

The newest comment said to set the shader quality to high.I have done that but it's still loading shaders,so I'll let you know if it works

What's the 9070 like compared to previous gen, relating to brute force rendering? What does it and the XT version, match up to? Or are they both superior for raster over the last gen? Anyone made the jump to this gen from last gen, able to tell any difference?

Very good point and thinking the same thing.

Have several times considered the possibility of upgrading from my 7800xt, maybe next year.

I am assuming that a 9070 isn't going to be as sensible an investment than an XT for real world gains?

Anyone gone 7800xt to non XT 9070 and could kindly share insights?

I made a side move from a 7900 XTX to a 9070 XT and I was surprised I didn't lose any performance. Most of the games I play I've actually gained some performance.
The reason I changed was I play in 4k and if you don't have a 4090\5090 then playing 4k without upscaling is not always possible unless you use upscaling. Upscaling on this gen, FSR 4, is a different league to FSR 3.1. The XTX was an awesome card let down by it's poor upscaling.
The 9070XT uses less power than my 7900 XTX, runs cooler and performs on par or slightly better.

I'm looking at going from the 6800XT to something newer. Finding it hard to justify the cash though as I don't game as often nowadays (even then it's just heavily modded skyrim) might not be worth my while tbh. If I found a cheaper 7900 GRE/XT/XTX then I might look to get it second hand or third hand. Can't seem to bring myself to splash out on a new gen card due to begrudging the cost of the new tech these days.

1440p @ 144Hz is my main screen with 1080p second screen

Problem is, even those previous gen and similar are stupidly prices second hand. Not exactly bargain prices- plus no warranty etc

im finding my reaper xt has a real dislike for cyberpunk, when try to UV, just crashes, its fine if i activate Chill though and ramp up ram up fans with the UV, bring vram temps down to more sane levels, but its only really ctberpunk that has the issue weirdly

I'm finding UV varies, it's fine at the best -100 for certain games, but playing Last of Us II, -50 crashes.

Been playing for nearly an hour and not had one crash so far,so it looks like it worked
