Another day, another driver, another black screen after installing that driver.

I know it's a forlorn hope, but maybe now the full launch range of Blackwell GPUs is released they can actually focus on fixing some ****?

any idea what unicode characters are causing this.. nothing thats readily available on a normal keyboard i presume

That sucks !

I have honestly had zero issues with my 5080 since I got it 2'ish months ago aside from 1 time my screen randomly went black and then came back on again a minute later.

I've just tested........and it's not fixed. Why do Nvidia keep releasing 'fixes', state that they work, and they do not work.

I don't know where the poster above got that from, nVidia can't be consistent with their websites, it's in the open issues for the driver on the official forum

The game seems to run like arse at 4K for some reason - with a 4080 Super at 1440p I can set everything to ultra with a base 60-70 FPS and ~120+ with frame gen and it works pretty well, if I go to 4K even with settings reduced to get the same frame rate it is quite choppy.

With frame gen on in the game you really need V-Sync off unfortunately, which sometimes results in tearing as otherwise it does get kind of laggy even with a v-sync on at 100+ FPS.

I recommend forcing the latest DLSS version on the game and setting r.NGX.DLSS.AutoExposure=1 in the engine.ini (there are guides for doing this) as the image quality is vastly improved this way.

I wonder if that's that's the reason that when I select anything higher than 2x in games with MFG, Like 3x or 4x, It does nothing ? Guess it's DDU time and only installing the driver.

What's a good alt to Nvidia app though for game recording, OBS? I want to retain 4K 60fps recording minimum obviously with zero fps impact whilst doing so.

Been using OBS for years, it just works and has tons of codecs these days, also has latest AV1 for a while now.
