*** Cyberpunk 2077 ***

Have been trying to find settings that will allow the game to run at a constant 60fps because in certain very busy areas of the city it dips a bit.
Still perfectly playable but the occasional slight stuttering is jarring.
Could anyone please tell me if they've found a setting or two that can be lowered which would give me 5 ish frames for the least/no degradation in visual quality.
GPU is an AMD 7800XT
I've ruled out upscaling as an option.

Thanks.

What resolution? I'm getting 130fps high/ultra 1440p. Ray tracing disabled. 9070xt. Motion blur disabled, no frame gen, no scaling.

Sorry, should have said, 1440p.
Yeah, I've not enabled RT, MB or FG either, mainly max settings apart from med clouds.
I keep making changes that work but as I continue to play I notice the image quality has dipped.
Basically wondering if there is a magic individual setting (apart from crowd density or AA) that'll bump the framerate and still look great.:D

Thanks.

My previous CPU (6 cores @ 4.6Ghz) was defo a bottleneck so I put in a short term upgrade (8 cores @ 4.5Ghz) and it did improve things, GPU now hits 100% when needed, but yeah it would account for lower than average FPS.
Crowds are at max and if at all possible I don't want to lower it as even med makes the city look and feel a lot emptier to me.

Was just wondering what setting gives the most improvement for the least drop in image quality?

Thanks.

Here you go

So I tried this again recently after playing it to completion at launch. Not feeling it, the police mechanics seem off to me - am I missing something? Bought the DLC but it seems like you're funnelled down a very particular playstyle at the start. Do people generally feel it's a better game now than at launch? I know the character progression has had a ton of work put into it. Is it worth persevering through the first act?

I only started playing after the 2.0 patch, so I’ve only known the “break line of sight, hide long enough and they’ll give up searching for you” mechanic for the NCPD.

If you’re in a vehicle which has the smart paint feature, simply driving around a corner and flipping paint scheme will make the, forget all about you.

1440p: I can get a decent framerate (40-50fps) on a 3060Ti with RT on and DLSS Balanced and most settings high/ultra. 20ish with PT on. With DLSS3 RT was in the 20's and PT single figures

Pretty sure the bottleneck is the 8Gb VRAM on the card.
5060Ti (16Gb) otherwise same PC

1440p RT on, DLSS quality and most settings high/ultra 80-90 fps.

With PT on and most settings high/ultra DLSS balanced, FGx2 70-80 fps. Feels very playable if not as smooth as with RT/RR on

Need to tweak mods a bit, think there is more to get out of this card :)

I got a new GPU, the 9070XT and a new monitor, the Acer X32QFS(4K MiniLED) And I was looking for a new game to give my new hardware a good work out. So after considering a few different titles, I decided to get Cyberpunk.

Downloaded and installed it this evening, will give it a run tomorrow. Will probably have some questions :)

This game is so pretty!! Played it for a few hours today and am really enjoying it. For graphic settings I have path tracing on, and am using Hardware's unboxed optimised quality settings. I am also using FS4 through Optiscaler. I have Freesync on as well. Performance has been fine so far. I am early days yet so maybe I might have to reduce settings in some areas.

Driving in the rain looks fantastic!!

installing now, bought it months and months ago, but never got round to playing it..

is it worth the PL DLC?? Or do I play with the standard game for now?

Short answer : It’s complicated.

Long answer:

Even if you install the DLC, it doesn’t activate until you’re some way into the main story.

However, if you ignore the phone call that drags your character into the Phantom Liberty DLC or don’t respond in a timely manner, you’ll locked out of the DLC’s storyline as the first quest will be failed.

As there are decisions you can make in the DLC that affect your progress in the main story choose wisely.

That said, the DLC is worth every penny in my opinion as it has a good story and interesting characters as well as opening up another whole district to explore with its owner Fixer.

Good news for amd gamers!

So looks like amd will finally actually provide some support to get their tech (presuming FSR 4/FG) in cp 2077 rather than just expecting game devs to read the documentation and figure it out themselves....

Will be interesting to see if their ray reconstruction will also get added and if so, how it compares to nvidia, hopefully it will be similar to fsr 4 tech quality as they can't afford to release something like fsr 1/2/3 and then lag behind for years in this area.

It is very immersive and damn good fun.

Two tips:

1. The Lifepath choices don’t make a great deal of difference as they basically just give you different dialogue options with certain NPCs.

2. Decide early on what character build and play style you want. Netrunner/hacker works from the start, but melee and stealth builds need a while (and the correct cyberware) before they pay off.

silly question.. im downloading CP atm, and i have purchased the DLC for it, I have CP downloading and PL in a queue, im guessing thats all I need?? none of the other million things you can select to download?
