Yeah it’s just how well it works in the ecosystem is often worth the Apple Tax.

The ease of being able to switch my APP between my phone, watch, iPad or even Apple TV at times is really handy (often too easy if you accidentally start a video on a different device) so that’s why I’m keen to stick with AP but it’s hard to ignore the new Sony’s

Apple should just sell the H chip to competitors lol
 
Agreed, mine have had their moneys worth just because of the super-tight integration. As I move further away from daily driving Apple stuff, I use them less and less to be honest, that and the fact that they're just about on their last legs. They don't owe me a penny after the absolute bashing they've had.
 
I think in ear and over ears both have their time and place. I wouldn't want to wear a set of cans in the office as my APP work perfect in that environment without looking obnoxious nor would I want to wear them when exercising but on those days where I'm walking the dog alone or even if I want to watch something on my iPad as my partner watches the TV, I'd really enjoy the Max in that situation.
 
I'm still using the AirPods Pro 2 for work - which can be 8 hours almost a day. They are pretty comfortable. I don't miss the weight and heat of over-ears actually. I still wait with anticipation for Max 2 though. It's been...a while now. However I'd probably not use them for work as much as I would TV/music/travel.

I regularly wear mine >8h a day without any issues. The only time i’ve felt awkward uncomfortable is when flying so continue(d) to use my trusty old Bose.

Same boat as me, I keep reading/seeing people commenting the exact same as well.

I’m guessing they’ll be massive sellers if they do announce a new pair. Quite a quick turn around with that little update a few months back though!
 
Can someone please buy a pair of the Max. Either waiting for a sale or waiting for the gen3. But I know if I buy them, either of the two options I'd prefer will happen

Neither are happening any time soon.

Gen 2 are 2027 going by all reports. Next sale will likely be Black Friday now and even then it’s a long shot.

In the same boat as a lot of people. I keep swaying, adding it to the basket but not pulling the trigger!

My issue is I'm 99% sure I'd be satisfied with the current USB C model but I also don't want to pay essentially £500 for a product which is a few years old only for it to get upgraded the following few months.

I've waited this long though so I can hold out until BF or other sales.

It's more I don't want to buy at full price as they're old(er) If I could find a pair at £350-400 I'd probably bite, right away.

Fair enough, its been a long time coming and the upgrades should be huge.
Pro 2's were already good, I cant see the pro 3 being enough of an upgrade

If I could replace the iPhone, AirPods Pro 2 and AirPods Max I'll finally be rid of the lightning port. I don't want a replacement like the current USB-C offerings but an actual upgrade.

I have the usbc version of the pro 2 and dont plan on upgrading them for a while!

Was thinking of getting the new max's but chose to go for the sony xm6 instead as they are just mich newer, the max with usbc is just a 5 year old headphone with a new port.

Bought the base level iPad as a Christmas present for our youngest during the Prime sales and once she gets that we will be living a full Apple USB-C life.

Will be a glorious day. Lol
