EV general discussion

born could do with some ozempic too, the french as usual a bit slimmer 1.5t 500kg less - should be able to feel that on the bends I can feel +150 on my newer car.
(that new jack from other thread, had been my first thoughts - marginal)

e: this is why junior velocee with fwd+lsd - like bmw 1 series or ST could be an eye opener
Has the order for the Puma gone in yet

Please stop.

But the Born (and ID.3) are not some unusable mess that some of those typical reviews claim. You know, the ones where they have a car for two hours or even just a day and post a “review”.

I have no idea what it is like on the Born but far too many cars these days the implementation of controls leaves you wondering what on earth they were thinking if not something that really should NOT have gone into a production car and while in some cases you might get somewhat used to them after a few drivers they are never in a good/ideal place. From the reviews it sounds like an implementation that just wouldn't sit well with me no matter how many times I drove the car.

What numbers are you using ?

E tech 1710kg. Born 58kWh is 1840kg

Obviously the drive wheels make a big difference to how it drives.

Well its irrelvant what you think frankly, if you havent driven the car. Careful else you will turn into jpaul

Which controls from reviews ?

Grumpy one aren't you, I find it hilarious how much jpaul winds you up with absolutely no intention of doing so on their part.

EDIT: PS jpaul rarely if ever posts anything relevant to anything you've posted and is largely innocuous rambling - you could simply put them on ignore.

I'm talking about driver relevant controls in general - it seems lately EV, even more so than ICE, makers are trying to outdo each other in weird approaches, I guess to try and stand out, there is nothing wrong in most cases with more traditional driver focussed approaches.

Called me out on what? this is EV general discussion is it not? I did not offer an opinion on the Born. You might want to go back and read my post again...

Let me just remind you "I have no idea what it is like on the Born..." - maybe an apology in order?

Nothing weird on the born. Sounded like you were basing your view on reviews ? What did you mean by ‘from the reviews’ The steering wheel buttons aren’t an issue in my experience despite reading many reviews complaining about them. The only slightly odd control is the physical window two buttons that need a rear button to switch to rears

I didn't offer a view on the Born?!?
You need to re read your post then as it’s confusing

What did you mean by ‘from reviews’ is this of all EV and weird controls

‘From the reviews it sounds like an implementation that just wouldn't sit well with me no matter how many times I drove the car.’
What are you talking about here then. It’s very vague if it’s not about the born. Is this talking about all cars and the implementation of nothing specific ? You have literally said nothing. What is ‘the car’. Your opening line was about the born and now you are claiming ‘the car’ wasn’t a born and accuse people of being unable to read

Yes this is EV discussion. So please discuss rather than guess or pass on an opinion you read about… ‘implementation of controls’

Sorry you got told? Tedious regurgitation challenges my super skill = my skill of calling out low value posts.

That was an addendum on the end that the Born probably wouldn't fit well with me - purely a personal note as I dislike the approach to controls on far too many new design cars - that wasn't me saying there was or wasn't anything wrong as per the start of my post I have no idea.
