Yes that's something I would expect but on the 24th March it is still showing the peak consumption of £5.51instead of the normal amount of around £2.00. Also last week's charge on the 24th April the peak was again over £5 when the car was on charge.

Thats the whole point of IOG they control the window, you don't set anything and they manage the schedule and anything in that schedule is charged at the reduced rate. I plugged in the Mini last night at 7 it started to charge at 7.30, and shows in the app at standard rate, but as Tamzzy says it'll switch to the correct rate a day or 2 later and by the time you are billed at the latest. The Hypervolt is what they manage for me as we have the Mini and A6 and i just plug it in and let them get on with it, just based on what % I want to add by when.
Have you confirmed it against your actual bill?
Trying to set your own schedules is a recipe for problems when it comes to IOG (or any other smart charging systems) I think - they need to be in full control.
(That being said, I think there are oddities around BMW integration for IOG since BMW restricted API access? It will hopefully be easier with a compatible integrated charger)

Yes for March..
I cannot control the charging though the IOG app at all, when I click upon charging preferences it opens the mybmw app.
But clearly in this case it isn't.
Before they made changes it was fine, but these changes might have been forced upon them by bmw altering the api. I want it to charge only between 11:30-05:30 to ensure I'm getting the lower rate.
That was the method I used in March, last week I tried setting a schedule in the MyBMW app in the hope it would adhere to it. On both occasions IOG lost control and on both occasions when IOG decided to charge during the day I was charged the day rate.
I also would have thought that Octopus would have amended the bill from over a month ago by now.
Or just have the decency to respond to my email which had screen shots showing the exact events taking place.

I've got an i5 which doesn't connect as per your link, so i connected my Ohme Pro charger, it flicks on/off through the day and overnight, always at the cheaper rate. I have to specify how much i want to charge the car by in the Ohme app (which is linked to IOG so knows when the cheap rate is) rather than to what %'age (car is set to always charge to 100%) so if i'm at 35% on the dashboard i'll add 45%, but not a big deal in the grand scheme of things as i have to approve each connection anyway (neighbour had some cheeky sod park up and connect while they were out as they were set to just start charging the instant anything connected!). Costs me approx £4-5 a week for around 80kwh. Car gets plugged in as soon as i get home.
Yeah I'm going to try just using the Hypervolt with IOG first, with the car set to charge immediately, and see what happens. It's not a huge amount of extra money anyway I'm just pee'd off that Octopus can't be bothered to reply.
Thanks, I plan to give them call tomorrow if I've the time. Yes I've not had any complaints about their CS over the phone but emailing meant I could show them the actual evidence.
if you call them and they need more info, they will email you a summary of the call and you can attach all the pics etc to that email
I've had some issues with IOG as well, but think they are now sorted.
When I set the ID4 up as sole car via the Octopus App, everything was rosy.
Then we got the wife's Ora and you cannot have 2 cars set up in the app, kept going around in loops.
Removed the ID4 and then set the Zappi to be the device. At first it wouldn't charge any of them, found out by luck that I had to unlock the Zappi after plugging in and then it charges in the window. It will push a small charge through the charger to start, then stops and restarts again later.
Was a bit of a pain, but now sorted and even the wife can use it now.

Whilst standing in the queue, I was watching those ceiling mounted tellies they had back then and an ad for this thing came on. What's odd isn't that I remember this, but that looking back, this was considered normal and not an eyebrow was raised.
