isn't the new harry potter deliberately casting them as adults?
I do agree tho the huge gap between seasons is rubbish and am sure is worse now than it used to be.

point in question just finished reacher series 3 and series 4 not even started filming yet.

It will be find. We've watched them grow up. Most of us on here loved Buffy The Vampire the slayer and most of the cast apart from Buffy were 5 to 10 years older than their Character.

this was what I was responding to. maybe I miss read it but it looks to me like you are saying your worry for the new harry potter is that they are clearly adults now.
but AFAIK in the next Harry potter film they are meant to be adults so them aging won't be ab issue.
 
no I didn't know there was a series coming out so mea culpa on that. I thought you meant the heavily rumoured new film
That said harry potter is easier than some in a way as each new book is a new school year, so that allows some ageing in between seasons.

Stranger things however is more difficult. Yes they can move time forward in that to a point as well.. but half its charm was it being a bit like a horror goonies with them being kids as well as the era it was set in.
The 1990s does not have the same charm as the early 1980s and wont stand out as much.

yes they had a writers strike and a global pandemic to contend with so it was always going to be a challenge but you are right it is a valid concern. almost all of these streaming services are very slow in getting new seasons out. i find by the time a new one comes out i have either forgotten where i was up to or have lost interest so not as bothered going back to it, where as had it of been out a little sooner i would have been all over it.

Only watching because I have watched all the previous ones. This show lost the plot about 2 series ago. Totally Lost/make-it-up as go along vibes. let's hope they can round it out into a coherent ending to the story but i doubt it, it's too far gone already.

i must admit it has been a steady decline since season 1.... that isnt to say the rest were rubbish, but that 1st series really was superb (imo)

Does any one have a video for people-who-trudged-through-the-whole-series-cos-they-thought-it-might-be-good-and-season-1-was-not-bad-but-now-it-been-so-long-they-cant-remember-what-is-going-on-UPDATE-VIDEO? thx
