Stroll confirmed as being able to drive in Canada. He's had a successful 'surgical procedure' which has eased the pain in his wrist.

Seems an awfully quick recovery time to me. Suspiciously quick, even.
Ah, you must be too young to remember the days when GP riders broke bones, got pinned and plated and were back out for the next race weekend.

Ask Jack Dothan’s dad Mick about nearing having his right leg amputated due to complications after surgery and how he raced the rest of his career with a hand operated rear brake as his saved right leg could no longer operate the normal rear brake pedal.

But not this clown again. How does he still have a job as a steward? It all makes sense now from last weekend.

In all fairness, Derek Warwick has always been a plonker so this is nothing out of the ordinary for him.
It seems we have some powerful people reading these forums after all :p

Warwick has been suspended for the Canadian GP; https://www.planetf1.com/news/fia-s...LioG3OmgURHZrt41j3_aem_3bwBwOmJ1Xi69-gk8bBlPQ

Unlike Herbert though it seems he’s allowed to come back next time..

Warwick did nothing wrong aside from commenting on various topics when he wasn't authorised to, one of the new rules introduced by the FIA to surpress free speech..

Yes but unlike Herbert who offended the Dutch camp, for some reason he’s allowed to come back for the next race :o

The guy is clearly useless, he wouldn’t even admit that Max drove into George in Spain when that was patently obvious to anyone with a pulse. His bias and dubious views are well documented — he should be well gone.

However whatever you might feel and your tainted opinions has nothing to do with this particular situation, it is sad that these unpaid 'volunteers' receive such unwarranted abuse for only doing their, job which you appear to be supporting this with your attitude.
He is also quite right in not taking sides, as a steward that is not permitted and I would have thought you would have know that.

Potentially more turmoil for Alpine as Renault CEO Luca de Meo steps down....
Shame as he's done great things for Renault, Alpine and Dacia brands on the road. Can see why he wants to do other things after 5 years. I wonder whether Alpine's poor showing in motorsport hastened his exit.

Unlikely, I think. The main CEO isn't too bothered by it. The F1 team is a minor advertising project to the whole shebang.

Any change is the last thing Alpine's dismal F1 showing needs though.

He's quit to take a job at the firm who own Gucci so it seems like its of his own accord
Yeah it seems like it

When I watched the Renault documentary on Prime, it seemed like he was pretty intent on succeeding with Alpine in motorsports, but maybe that was just for show/winner mentality. Either way, he's done a brilliant job with the road cars. Can't wait for the R5 Turbo 3E!

Mexico Nascar race is mental - shoving / pushing / banging each other around the place

GReat viewing

Better watching 5 laps of this than 70 laps of F1

Decent race in Mexico, was fun to watch. Especially seeing them haul those big lumps on slick tyres in the rain. Even when they were on wet tyres they looked hard to handle.

Aussie V8 star, turned Nascar racer SVG with the win.

Keep reading sensationalist headlines on the F1 equivalent of slightly soiled toilet paper (PlanetF1.com), and have to think that replacing him is not the right move just now. Yeah, this years car is... Not super good. Nothing will change this now though. I don't think changing management now will help anything. Stability is needed.
If the car is an absolute lemon next year with the new regs, show him the door.

Which driver is this referring to?
