Maybe, options been renamed and no longer works.

Nice one Samsung. I'm gonna roll back. I'm not playing with a black bar on my screen.

EDIT: Tried a few games, the feature is completely broken. Does nothing.

I think they renamed it in 6.1, but at least the show cutout option worked.
Same issue for me, looks like you can hide the cutout in apps that support fullscreen, but you can't force fullscreen in apps that don't support it. So it's not entirely broken, probably a bug.

Might get a fix in a month or so. :cry:

I updated to the latest version, which has nice new features. However, I feel the battery is slightly worse, and the phone gets a bit warmer than before the update. Anyway, it's been a few days. Let's see.
 
Speaking of battery, had a check at my Accubattery battery health section and I'm down to 80% now! Can't say I've looked after it too well and those aren't entirely accurate but hopefully won't see any issues bar shorter SoT until next round of Samsung phones.
 
I'm not a fan of that split pull down thing they've added, luckily can disable it.

Has anyone changed their battery and can recommend a supplier? The iFixit kit with the replacement adhesive looks good but a lot more expensive than others.
 
Another episode of installing the latest security update and my battery dropping like a stone. 5% in 5 mins of watching YouTube in bed (so lowest brightness) on WiFi.
 
Still on April security upgrade, and still got broken features from last update. Security update to old for teams now. Always the same with major updates, they fall behind..

Can't say I've noticed any issues here.

For those who use various battery apps that estimate capacity what are yours now? As above mine is at 80% (owned since launch) so either way I think I'll be forced to upgrade on next release cycle.
 
My Internet connection can be very slow to connect and load pages on both WiFi and 4/5g. The WiFi is frustrating as I am often only a few meters from the router and very few other devices connected. My A70 was so much faster.

The worst thing is the battery life may actually be worse than my 4+year old A70 was. The only thing it is faster for is installing and loading apps. My wife has just got a better overall deal on a new S25. I wish I wasn't so quick to get this one :D.

You could try this
Most of the settings will be available on the S23

Any one else having issues with the forum formatting and insert function bars not working?

My old folks need new phones. Bought a S24 for £300 after cashback.

Should I keep my S23 and give them the S24
Or
Keep the new S24 of myself and give them my current S23?
 
Still no update for well over a month, and still on April security patch. :)

Found a work around for the camera cutout / fullscreen issue though, enable the buttons!!
