Wanted to see it today after work but didn't get a chance, sounds like not quite a masterpiece by initial impressions I get from people.

Will have to be Monday at the earliest when I'll catch it.

Just back from the movies and I can see why there was some mixed feelings. The setup was good and I like the new ideas this movie brings however I agree with @Stu999 some pretty lazy writing particularly in the last act. I don't know what its trying to do or how it helps setup the next movie but it's a strange way to give a final impression. It was almost surreal. The direction in the last act took away the impact and the danger from the start. The acting was ok. I still enjoyed it and happy they made a new movie to expand the 28 days universe. @Rroff It certainly wasn't a Train to Busan. It wasnt bad but it did leave me wanting and expecting more. Overall 6.5/10 for the average movie goer but 7/10 for the zombie fan in me.:D

Hopefully it picks up in the other movies.

Focusing on Isla and Spike was a mistake and the gang at end lol wtf was that.

Appreciate the update, think this is a streaming release for me (although in fairness it takes a lot to get me to visit the cinema these days!).

Yeah i think thats a fair decision. Will be interested to see what you think when you do get a chance to watch it when its released via stream.

Without spoiling it. It's both. To say it's not scary in certain parts would be unfair. There are some unusual choices.

I didnt think he looked bad, he looked quite buff and imo convincing to be someone that survived out in the wilderness alone.

@Grim5 - i dont want to spoil it too much and now i have had time to think about it, the best way to describe the movie is its a tale of 2 halves. For me the change took me out of it a little.. Some might like it and some dont. I saw Stuckmann gave it glowing reviews. Most has been pretty positive so it depends on what your taking out from the movie.

I was meaning Marlon Brando :p (the comparison katy81 made with that old fat bloke at the end of Apocalypse Now)

I haven't seen this yet to make the comparison with Ralph! :D

Ralph is buff in it.


To be fair Marlon might be buff in apocalypse now. Its been ages since I've seen it. I just remember it being very badly lit and a bit anticlimactic
