Anyone got a QuickJack?

Yeah they are great bit of kit, as for storage I have mine hanging on the wall when not in use so take up very little space, they actually sell wall hangers :-

I've been thinking about getting one for a while now. I wonder if they are of any use in a single garage as in the videos i can see that the cars tend to move forwards when being lifted.

Very tempting at that price too.

After not enjoying the frame alignment at all my first two uses, I bought some significantly bigger rubber blocks. I recently put those to use and it was definitely worth it. No faffing around with getting the frames and blocks in just the right position. These are 120x160mm blocks and they fit in the QJ frames perfectly as you can see. The shortest block that I could get in and still clear the frame was was 50mm. The shortest blocks that come with it are 54mm. I definitely wouldn't go any lower than 50mm on the 7000TL.

With the new, larger blocks, aligning each frame with the jacking points is a doddle. I highly rate the QJ, they just need some casters to make manoeuvring them around less arduous. That's next on my list.

I really need one of these with the amount of car work I do. Would love a proper lift, but I just don't have the space/height to be able to get this in unfortunately...

ive just sold my old 2 poster, it was 3 phase so i had to run a convertor hence never fealt it had the umph. was 20 odd years old mind. bought and installed one of these https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/305214085627

must say it does what it says on the tin and i leisurely took a couple of days fitting it , i did rather grill the company over emails and on the phone before i decided but it was well worth it .
does the job a treat, yes i had previously adjusted my roof joists for the old one to work but this one is shorter and designed with normal garages in mind.

How do these work with sloped garage floors?
My new build double garage has a very slight slope towards the door, I can only assume so any water runs out.
We are talking 1 brick's worth across the entire length of the garage.

I have a pair and couldnt live without them now. For me I feel much safer when raising a car on my own at the press of a button, yes they are heavy but that says to me solid. Here was a review I did of mine a while ago:
