Premium fuel from a supermarket for the detergents and because BMW recommended the higher octane with the MPPSK


Edit: but it is a 3 series, not a super car. Just put whichever fuel you want to in it

Not an M, but it is turbocharged so I use Costco Premium, 97 Octane.

Tesco 99. I’ve been using it Type R’s, Evo’s, S2000’s, F80 M3 and now G87 M2 covering 20+ years and I’ve never had a fuel related issue.

After much swearing and hurty fingers, I finally managed to transfer the circuit board from my tatty key fob, over to the new ‘blank’. Dealer wanted £460 for a new key and coding. The new original fob cost me £80. Every little helps.

Edit - forgot to say, look at all the dust and human cells inside the original fob, I don’t know where the original owner kept his key, down the back of the sofa I think. Yuk.

I use Tesco Momentum 99. Not sure if it's worth it but I don't do many miles so it doesn't cost me too much more really.

I have an Esso fuel card with 5p/L off supreme (and 10p off occasionally), so, I use Esso supreme+ or Tesco momentum depending on whichever is cheaper.

Whatever 'Premium' fuel the forcourt I'm on happens to have.

Only put V power in mine as its whats recommended on the fuel flap and theres a shell garage at the end of the road

The M340i user manual specifically recommends 98 Octane fuel or better, which it presumably must do for a reason as it doesn't for the 330i.

I use Tesco Momentum in mine as it's inexpensive and 99 Octane.

I don't bother with this because it's the same price as Tesco generally and 97 instead of 99, so may as well just use Tesco unless it isn't convenient.
