Indiana Jones reboot Staring Pedro Pascal

I'd rather the leave it than spoil the original movie. ie Coming to America, Gladiator comes to mind. I hear Highlander is in the works as well as a few others.

I don't really see how anything would spoil the originals, they don't stop existing.

While it cant change the content of original movie itself, it can mar the overall story or universe it has established. Making a bad sequel for the sake of it can definitely impact the success of a franchise or history of that story. Star Wars sequels is a perfect example.

Star Wars was dead before the sequels though, they weren't making it any more. How did it affect the success of the franchise? Indiana Jones also is barely an ongoing story, they're pretty self contained. I just don't get it, do you sit down and watch Alien and think "man I would really be enjoying this but Alien Resurrection is terrible"

I guess Star Wars was dead as a cinema franchise pre-sequels but the IP was still selling lots of computer games and Lego etc. The sequels have done great harm to the cinematic brand (for many) but the Pre-Disney IP still remains strong. Imagine spending $4Bn and having no discernible plan

I will say it one last time, it doesnt detract from the original movie content. However if you flip your statement Alien Resurrection is terrible why couldnt it have been as good as the original Alien movie. Why is there a comparison? because its still linked and affects the overall continuity of that plot or story is my point particularly direct sequels or prequels.

Will Poulter would be a good choice for me, he can do the serious stuff along with the comedy. Sadly though having a British person running around shouting "that belongs in a museum" and stealing artifacts off people might be deemed insensitive these days

Lucas was working with a writer for 3 more movies shortly before selling to Disney. It was more down to the time it took to do the movies with a trilogy taking a decade more or less. At the time he was around 70.
