This comment was especially useful. And you also need to bear in mind that memory overclock also affects undervolt ability, if on the edge of stability for example:

I am not 100% on this but it seems to track with my experience. I have tested all sorts of voltages and clock speeds and 2827MHz at 0.895 is still the most efficient and stable. I did have to slightly lower memory OC from +2000 to keep the core clockspeed though. Rock solid now though and efficient.
