Show Us Your Motors!

Must feel like a barge after the 2000 but with a 5.0 V8 up front you can't really complain eh? :p
Yeah, it's not exacly precise. If the S2000 is a scalple, the Mustang is a ****off lump hammer. Eck of a car though.

Booked in for an H-pipe with Modurstang at the end of the month. Then we will really hear the thunder (not that it's exactly quiet at the moment).

Very nice, I actually really like it in silver and don't totally hate the black wheels either.

I really should get rid of the MX5 and get a toy that we can all go out in. I look at that and think 'perfect' but then I also look at Gibbo's E30 and think...'perfect'. Then I take a look at Silent_Scones Skyline and... well you get the picture!

I might actually make a decision and stick to it just in time for the boy to leave home :p

Niice like it a lot, Obviously I am bias, I like the colour, interested about your wheel comment earlier, it's the one thing I am not a fan about mine, though thinking of it.... I cannot think of many cars where I like black wheels. Nice weekend to take it for a spin, roof down.

There was a meet up here last Sunday and about 6 mustangs showed up. Every one sounded fantastic

Took my son to a birthday party 30 mins drive away. Wife got the date wrong (it's tomorrow) and I wasn't even annoyed. Just meant I got a nice drive in the Mustang in the glorious weather.
Ordered some mods for it. A K&N open intake so I can hear the induction roar, a Steeda strut tower brace as the UK convertible doesn't come with one for some reason, and a small, black, lip spoiler.
The Steeda clutch return spring arrived today but my vice grips broke so I can't fit it until I get some new ones. I've also got a nice Pioneer sub that will go in the stock B&O sub box in the boot. The stock sub is..... how shall I put it?.... rather poor quality and boomy rather than subby if that makes any sense.
Booked in with Modurstang for the H-pipe on the 30th.

I'm thinking about replacing the chrome pony with a black one for a more aggressive look. What do you think?

You probs won't hear too much from the induction kit just an fyi. I had the large steeda intake with tune, before the supercharger, and it wasn't a noticeable sound change. But see what it's like anyway. :)

The UK stangs don't come with a strut brace because we get the k brace as standard Vs the yanks. Just to be aware with the steeda brace you may get gaps underneath where it doesn't sit flush on the towers. I padded my gaps out with washers but this meant the strut nuts had just bare amount of thread showing. I found I was constantly checking and re torquing. In the end, I binned it off as it made negligle improvements.

Better money is spent on the rear. You should consider the subframe kit from steeda as that tightens things up amazingly well, as the subframe has play in from factory. And also the steeda billet rear vertical links to replace the cheap flimsy pressed steel links that can flex.

Hope that helps.

Thanks. I'm looking at getting the complete "no hop" kit from Steeda that includes all the subframe stuff and the links. It's cheaper for the convertible too as they already have the bracing installed.
I got the K&N pretty cheap as well as the strut brace so if they do nothing, it's no bother to move them on again.

Vote for going black, and if you do decide it's easier to do in situ by masking the surrounding area as to remove the badge itself, you have to take the front of the car off. You can get to the the back of the badge to undo it without removing the whole front but you have to unbolt the radiator and have the hands the size of a 5 year old child, or be some sort of professional gynaecologist.

BMR cradle kit is far superior to Steeda stuff. ;)

At Woodford yesterday, shame the Lancaster had to return home under a mayday call but crew and plane landed safely. Engine had some RPM issues and black smoke.

The Vette no running issues at all in the extreme heat. :)
