What PC games are you playing?

Nearly finished Homeworld 3. The reviews weren't great for it, but as a casual player I've really enjoyed it. Just wish the campaign was longer and more complex.

It's very addictive! I recently finished it and I think they have the length just right so that it doesn't become boring.

I'm contemplating getting the additional content.

Cheers. I just bought the DLC and will start from the beginning again tonight. I actually think I was going through it too quickly so will take my time second time round.

My problem with Homeworld 3 was that the campaign was blink-and-you-miss-it short. Despite some lavish (if slightly boring) cutscenes, it still ends up feeling like the usual modern RTS extended tutorial to hurry you over into mulitplayer and get you spending on cosmetics.

Kudos to Tempest Rising for actually putting some care into the solo side of the game.

UFO: Enemy unknown - first mission, easy diff level, I get killed, all my team in first encounter. Was it so hard back in a days?

Started KCD 2, only a couple of hours in, but really liking it. I was about half way through the first one and gave up on it as couldn't get on with the combat. It seems a lot better in the sequel so far.

Likewise. Been ill and then it’s been too hot to game much for the last couple of evenings.

Really wish I’d taken more interest in lockpicking before starting the “For whom the bell tolls” mission though!

Finally got back into FF7: Rebirth after putting it down for a few months cause I burnt out doing all the side content in the first two regions.

The world is beautiful, I like the characters more than ever and the combat is fun but my god the open world stuff is *******. Slow, repetitive Ubisoft slop with absolutely no substance. Not to mention the sheer number of boring forced mini games.

Outside of the open world stuff the game is great. I have my gripes with some of the changes, like turning every area into a 'dungeon' complete with boss fight because they have to pad out a 10 hour section of the game into a 40-50 hour main story, but overall it's been a good time.

Xplane 12 & Stalker 2 which I completed yesterday after 136 hours what a game! It runs like crap, FSR/DLSS is a must on any system but its great game overall.

Avowed, 96 hours in and about to start the final part. I’ve really enjoyed, it’s set in the Pillars of Eternity world with a decent story line and quests, it’s got gorgeous and very varied areas and excellent combat mechanics.

I’d not really heard much about it apart from the advert on the Blizzard Launcher so it was a bit of an impulse buy but is really worth getting

Yeah would agree. As a casual player who remembers the original but didn't remember how to actually play it, I've enjoyed the campaign but it does just feel like an extended tutorial. And now, on the last mission, it sounds like things are finally getting real and I'm at the end. Disappointing.

But for the love of God, the ship movement is AWFUL and I've really noticed that on the last mission. I have a mixed formation of 45 ships trying to attack fixed targets and they all get stuck on scenery, each other, or randomly decide to go backwards. The amount of babysitting is just so frustrating!

If you go steady, overlap fields of fire and leave some action points for reactions then it's pretty straightforward. Don't walk into a new area without some backup and enough points to get back out. Once you get a bit further in you can cheese it.
Terror from the deep was much harder.
