What PC games are you playing?

I'm not watching the 2nd film there's no point for me. I couldn't even finish the 1st one and believe me I tried. I usually love sci fi and I could count on 1 hand the amount of films I've not seen through to the end.... but this one...my word is it achingly dull. I just had to accept it wasn't for me.
Yeah, absolutely fuming though that I did watch the first, normally I would force myself through the 2nd one, but that would be 5-6 hours of my time that I will never get back and I know it wouldn't redeem itself enough to warrant how pants the first was.
I got more fun out of watching Mando in the sand than I did Dune! And I'd rewatch all of Mando anytime!

Just started Len's Island, as I wanted something cosy to be playing and so far it's been alright. Missing some Quality of Life stuff but maybe that comes later as I level up, guess I find out as I play along ! :p
Got this as part of bundle - played it early on development and thought it was a lots of ideas thrown together put no idea how to get a coherent game out of them. Biggest issue I have is lack of mods.

After quickly getting annoyed with button smashing the first boss, I delved back into Star Was Jedi Survivor, and think I will give it another try - yes it's buggy and blah blah, but it seems to be OK currently versus when I last played it on release?
Maybe it's been patched enough to not have FPS spikes now? So far so good?

I do not like the massive jump in difficultly from before the first boss though, that did really annoy me initially.
When I completed the previous game, the difficultly, at least boss wise, took until around 3/4's of the game to ramp up to an annoying level, and it was one boss in particular, in the jungle high up (IYKYK) that everyone seems to agree was OTT versus prior bosses/the general difficultly leading upto it?

We shall see if I rage uninstall it

Jesus, I had to double take and re-read this! I thought you said "Just started Love Island"

I couldn't even finish the film I was so bored. Am I likely to dislike the game too?
I'll be honest I'm a a massive sci-fi fan - It depends if you are a bit survival games fan or not. It's pretty simple atm but it looks great and the combat is not as bad as I was worried about. I can only play casual atm so great just to jump on and do some missions or grind mats for upgrades.
How did you find the second film? I actually really liked the first one, but the second one I lost interest during it.
I liked both but was the opposite to you - the second one had a lot more stuff going on where as the first one had a lot of time spent on waiting for getting on/off giant spaceships.

Didn't I read that this is simply the Star Wars game with a reskin? Or whatever the game was, essentially the same regardless?

mmm I cant remember a SW game it's like in recent times. I saw someone say on reddit it's like enshrouded in space which is kind of true. It is very brown/yellow being in a desert planet but I think the devs have done a great job adding variety in zones in the starting areas. I'm like 40 hours in and just starting aluminium now so taking it slow!

Damn, I red something on here recently, when someone said, hang on isn't the Dune game just X but reskinned essentially, now I wish I'd paid attention  but people did claim that that was true in essence?

Looks perfect for me - surprised I missed it. Thanks for heads up.
It was released 6 months ago as an early release, it was by far no where near a finished game. They've just released a patch which included a load of new content and places to explore. I imagine in 6 months time they'll do the same again.

I saw a few videos on youtube which peaked my interest.

I'm currently on Jedi Survivor (late to the party). Enjoying so far, but the running motion on the main character is really jarring me! It was fine in the first game, but now he runs like the hulk! Very strange

About 3/4's of the way through replaying Silent Hill 2 Remake again, still excellent, especially with the chainsaw, yes I know stutters/UE5, but it is what it is, and the story/graphics/gameplay outweigh my care for letting UE5 stutters wind me up - I also didn't pay full price for any of my UE5 games, so there's that too ;) :p :D
Really cool game I just finished for the first time last week. I'm really excited to see the sh1 remake now.

I really liked it, was an awesome way to play it for the first time. It's regarded as the GOAT of SH's. I'm looking forward to SH1 remake too, but I'm excited for September for Silent Hill F - it has some nice 'The Grudge' movie vibes going on:

Agreed this could be awesome too. The price is a bit insane though.

just had a few missions on c&c 3 with the lossless scaling program thats on steam for a few quid, looks so much sharper and the camera isn't all janky and jerky when panning about like it was on monday when i tried it stock, a small bit of input lag but feels and looks so much smoother :)

Sure. I'll wait for reviews anyway and if they look decent and it doesn't come with awful DRM then I'll be all over it sooner than later.
Fair enough. Baring in mind it's done by the team that did 2 Remake, and are doing 1 Remake, so it will be good, I can't remember if the story etc is by the OG people but I reckon it's going to be good.
£45 on release once you've red the review is a good enough price to me :)

Different writers by the look of it. I don't know them, but they are apparently they've written some very well regarded manga.
I don't mind dropping £45 on an experience like SH2, but you never know and I don't pre-order games.
