I watched a couple of months or so ago. Yeah I too thought it was rather goodWatched Alien Romulus, a bit of a mish mash of bits from other films in the franchise and ends up being the third best after Aliens and Alien.
Overall a pretty solid film.
7.5/10

The Chris Tucker and Jackie Chan duo is just too good!
Superman (2025) - 6/10
A different style of story with a few more characters from the DC Universe in but as the film starts halfway through the plot, there isn’t much of an explanation as to who these characters are or why they’re there. As such, it feels like ‘just another day in Metropolis’ rather than an epic Superman adventure.
The story boils down to the same old themes and whilst it effectively balances the emotional human side with the light hearted humor, the plot didn’t really engage me.
It was entertaining enough with plenty of action and solid special effects, but I didn’t enjoy it as much as the other iterations of Superman I’ve seen.
Because different people like different things. Also saw it last night and echo the above almost exactly.
Quite how this has 82%/94% on RT is beyond me.
Must be nice to watch some excellent movies after those turds. After binge watching The Hobbit Trilogy. I move onto The Lord of The Rings Trilogy on 4k blu-ray.
While not as good as the LotR movies they're far from turds. I actually rather enjoy them and watch the whole Hobbit/LotR set every few years. The only thing missing from my collection is LotR in 3D.Must be nice to watch some excellent movies after those turds.
Absolute classicOffice Space - 8/10
Been a while since I've seen this, still a classic
