Dune: Awakening

I didnt like the combat at all when i played to open beta , decided not to buy it but caved after a few weeks now im having a blast.
Yes the combat can be janky depending on what build or abilities your using but other than that its the most fun ive had in a survival crafting game.
Only issue for me is it doesnt feel like an mmo as advertised as im barely seeing anyone in the world, granted im only starting the aluminium tier now so im assuming others are just elsewhere?

I'm still playing around with my base a bit but I've effectively stopped as well. Have spent a good chunk in the DD, still not done all the advanced classes but think I've done everything else. Apart from handing in that mk6 cutterray, you get a good gun but I'm not bothering :D

Careful. If you don't login for over 20 days your base may be gone. You need to pay tax every 20 days and keep up with the electricity
See now I'm not a fan of that...no game should ever force you to play it in order to keep your stuff. I get why its done its just I dont like feeling like I HAVE to play a game on a given day rather than I WANT to play a game on a given day.

I’m playing this with others at the moment. As we are co owners of each others bases we can pay the taxes and keep the power going. We are playing regular enough at the moment that it’s not an issue. I guess you could go with a small base using the standard fief and not have to deal with taxes and just keep the power demand low.

With a buggy you can do a quick loop to find some fuel drops to mine and with T4/5laser (forget which I have) you get a few hundred cells per node. I only use generators for this reason, as well as turning things off if I'm not using them. It's easy enough to keep on top of things but tax would eventually become a problem if you're only logging in to upkeep the base.

I've already moved some items into the bank so I can restart when I start playing again.

It's a problem with the game style I feel. You have singleplayer stories and progression but locked behind survival mechanics that punish not playing. For some good reasons but still...

Had a wee fly around hagga this morning and there's still a good number of powered bases. And one large one that has been repowered (was off yesterday). A lot of abandoned ones though.

What they need to do is allow us to pay our taxes automatically via using what funds we have in the bank. U know like in the real world aka direct debit lmao!

I've had a good run, 100+ hours and got my T6 armour + experienced most things.
Short of solo farming a carrier (my guild already has one), I'm parking this until a major update.
Recommended to anyone who want an immersive survival experience.

So tempted to buy this, just for single player mind you.
IM playing it solo and really liking it.
However it was getting a bit slow and tedious until i got the scout ornithopter then suddenly it doesnt feel boring and a real chore getting around the map and really opens the game up.
Such a chill game to just play pve at your own leisure, I hope this doesnt change too much once i hit endgame.

Thats good to know, thx

I think im nearing the end of my time with the game.
Im just about to start the Plastanium tier and and not sure if i can push through to finish it or if i just need a break.
114 hours of taking my time and ive thoroughly enjoyed it playing 100% solo.

289 Hours and i'm burned out on it, for now, i'm just going to log in once a week to check on my base, supplies and pay my taxes.

There will be updates, more content and more maps added, i will return then.

Great game, enjoyed it a lot, i'm looking forward to the future of it.

I'v gone back to New World after a couple of years away from that, its also a great game.
