Fair point. I'll probably return them if they suck. But it is a tad painful to pay £75 for a pair of ear cup things. I guess you get what you pay for.At first use its not always obvious the quality is poor. Take Apple watch straps as an example..

I bought the AHG branded ones, been perfect and cost 20.I need new cups for my AirPod Max and no way I'm paying Apple £75 for them. I'm going to get some £20 from Amazon. Hopefully they are going to be OK.
That is the one I ordered. Due sometime this evening.I bought the AHG branded ones, been perfect and cost 20.
My daughter picked up some from Amazon, and tbh I can't really tell the difference with my Apple ones tbh. I'll ask her for the link.
My AirPods Pro 2 seem to be misbehaving. Only one of them sometimes charges and sometimes one does not work at all even when making sure they are both put back in the case to charge. This seems to have started pretty recently.

You could have paid the same to get your AirPod Pro 2 replaced by Apple. If they're out of Apple Care, just pay for a battery replacement and you get a 'new' set.I ended up ordering some Beats Solo Buds as my AirPods Pro 2 are on the way out. For £80 they should last a decent length of time.
Fair point but I wanted to try something new. I might still get the AirPod Pro 2s repaired or replaced and give them to my Mum if the Pro 3 are released next month (big if).You could have paid the same to get your AirPod Pro 2 replaced by Apple. Bose or Sony XM5/6 are far cheaper and better rated by pretty much everyone.
I personally dont change anything I just plonk them on and away I go. Haven’t used them plugged in to get the flawless/lossless. I only use mine in the house and for on the plane - which I can confirm are great. Previously had Bose qc25 for well over a decade.
I only got mine last month on amazon interest free for 5 payments. Got them for £449. If that’s something that suits you.
If you have a two or more of iPhone/Ipad/imac/MB/TV these are the way to go.
As for in ear, not got a clue but air pod pro 2 are just as awesome and I use them for running/gym/walking the dog etc and they don’t fall out at all.
Thanks.
I like the idea of the pro Max but I dont really have the use case for them. The in ear form I use every single day when I take the dog for a walk or when Im in the kitchen and Mrs Elvis is watching tv while Im cooking or whatever. As much as I love the pro max logic is telling me getting the latest Pros would probably be money better spent.......
