The other interpretation is he knew nothing existed but it was convenient to feed the conspiracy to his supporters as it motivated them and now is trapped by his own lies.
 
Are you saying that there aren't any Epstein files because there most certainly are. Maxwell herself would also be a font on knowledge on this.

I think hes just made an absolute pigs ear of this and now that hes flip flopped so many times, people are fantastically sceptical of anything less than a complete release of the files which he obviously doesn't want to do.

It was a vote winner, he never had any intention of releasing them but he needed to make sure he was in control of that decision.
 
It could be truly catastrophic for Trump this episode. If MAGA take the blinkers off and realise he IS the swamp, the corrupt, self-serving elite that are above the law and exist only to enrich themselves at the expense of the working man….the whole house of cards falls apart.

But even since he got in, hes flipped flopped between releasing them and not. He would probably have been fine if from the get go he had said. "Theres nothing here guys". His supporters believe absolute whoppers as long as they are coming from their lord and saviour.
 
If Trump was on the list then surely the Biden lot would have used that, they made up the Russia thing so why not use some truth if that were the case?

Just like our own politicians in the UK if you make promises and go back on them you should get prison and not a UK prison.
 
The people saying there were no files/list, are you OK?

The republicans literally waved around box folders of the files and shared some for public photos etc, the Pam Bondi woman even said on the record that she has the files on her desk awaiting to be reviewed lol. Now they magically don’t exist after years of them existing. Also, why now do they not want to release files that don't exist?

But don't let official statements on record get in the way of the cope.

I understood it, but it still wouldn't make any sense to put MP's in foreign prisons for breaking campaign pledges.

World events happen leaving people unable to always stick to their promises.

I mean, they categorically didn't make it up. Look back at the history and you'll see the Republicans held the senate in 2019 and the intelligence committee submitted a report that clearly stated there had been a "coherent and well constructed effort" of Russia intefereing in the election. Anything that happened after that simply built on that report.

I would prefer that politicans that deliberately lie and make the country massively poorer (Farage) and are clearly in the pocket of certain companies, are held to account, rather than someone promising something pre election.. circumstances change and they then cannot commit to what they originally promised. You know its actually refreshing IMO that politicians do change their minds, just as people outside of the Westminster bubble do on a huge variety of topics.. once they get more information and or situations change.

Legal Eagle has a great rundown right from the start on how things have unfolded, I bet many didn't know how far back this went and how much of a slapped wrist Epstein got initially due to a plea deal, the powers that be at the time then went on to become part of trump's first administration, who would have figured.....


No wonder trump wants people to forget about him lol.

I keep seeing this comment.

None of the files were legally allowed to be released during Biden's term because of the ongoing case against Maxwell.

... Now do I think they would have released them if they could? Nope, because there's too many powerful people incriminated in those files.
