Unfortunately for us, his wages will be a stumbling block.Newcastle could buy Nicolas Jackson for half the Isak money......
You best keep him.

Oh I absolutely don’t ‘know’ it’s cracking business. And it would be hilarious if Liverpool imploded/turned to garbage. But from my own limited knowledge I’ve formed the opinion that they won’t implode and I reckon they’ll waltz the league. Just my opinion though dude. How do you know it is cracking business until the players are playing in the Premier League and banging in goals?
How many times have pundits and fans said "X" has won the transfer window only to end up entirely turgid.
If the deal happens then there must be a plan for them to play together. I've no idea how they'll do that but I just don't see us spending £70m+ on a backup option. The brief from the club when Ekitike was announced was that he's seen as a versatile forward, not just a centre forward and maybe he's going to be just that - cover/competition for the 9 but also playing alongside him in a 4-4-2/4-2-3-1 and sometimes even on the left. At the bare minimum Ekitike will have to be playing 2/3's of games though.Agree on Isak re: fitness. He's never really gotten through many full 90 mins and not looked knackered by the end of it. With Wilson injured we had no real choice but to keep using him (seemingly Osula is not ready), as long as Ekitike is happy to rotate (and Isak), I think there'll be plenty of opportunity for both to take that central role. Just don;t let him (Isak) go to Sweden for friendlies, he always comes back a bit more crocked lol
That’s my second biggest worry. He’s pretty much 3/4 of a player now, that would make him half a one. My biggest concern is we rush to find replacements and end up in some kind of mega horror deal that sees Diaz, Nunez, or Nicolas Jackson sign although I think they’d all personally see themselves going to bigger clubs than Newcastle. It has all the makings of a deal in which Isak agrees to stay at Newcastle for one more season on the promise that they sell him next summer
We'll have to wait and see, if we dont play Ekitike on the left then I really dont see any point in buying him and Isak together. Makes little sense to me to spend 70m on Ekitike to then a few weeks later be just a sub for Isak, 70m is a big whack of money for a sub, I cant see either Isak or Ekitike coming and wanting to effectively be the 2nd choice no.9, I would think they would both want to be first 11 players. I guess Slot has a plan, we'll get a reasonable indication of what the plan is when Diaz is sold, if nobody is bought to replace Diaz then Slot must then be planning to have someone in the team to be Diaz "replacement", time will tell of course but I wouldnt be too surprised if Ekitike is played on the leftYea, I've seen a couple of vids of people analysing him but I think it's different to start centrally and drift out wide to starting wide. In a wide role he'll have to do more defensive work, he'll be picking up the ball in deeper positions and generally won't have the same freedom as he does from a central role.
He might play there from time to time but I really don't see us spending such a big fee for a player and then trying to turn him into something different and likewise, I'm not sure he signs on the basis that we're turning him into a winger.
He could spend all season on the bench and he'd still start for Sweden.
Even as a Liverpool fan, I'm still taking very much a wait and see approach, its a lot of players incoming and a lot of first team positions that will be new to the team and each other (LB, RB, CB, Left Wing, Centre Forward, Attacking Midfielder would all be new players, thats potentially half the team) , as superb as it looks on paper those players will take time to gel together, if I was a rival team I'd be wanting to play Liverpool as early in the season as possible before those players have gotten the chance to become fully cohesiveOh I absolutely don’t ‘know’ it’s cracking business. Oh no doubt getting Liverpool in the first month or so will be preferable but I just don’t see anyone but Liverpool winning the league again. And comfortably at that. I feel that it will end up being a closer title race than people might think. I think it will be the 26/27 season before we see just what this team can really doOh no doubt getting Liverpool in the first month or so will be preferable but I just don’t see anyone but Liverpool winning the league again. ofcourse it makes no sense, the only option is he wants out....
going to make liverpool fans look ridiculous if he doesnt leave... or goes elsewhere..
He never watched the prem growing up... and newcastle rather sell him to another league anyway..
If enough liverpool fans will it through social media it's sure to happen rgiht...
