The Big WWE Wrestling Thread

R-truth and Carlito are not getting their contract renewed so they will be leaving at the end of their contract.
Although I am a little confused about R-truth as it was said his contract isn't being renewed but he said he was released?

Anyone watched the AAA collide event? I have to say the match pacing and choreography was so much better than WWE.
I did pick Naomi to pick win MITB,like Seth I guess she has the most "momentum" compared to the rest and she is due another title.
It looked like Stephanie got pulled out of the match right near the end from slight injury or she was told to not do anymore to reserve her since she did compete twice before the Mitb match?
I would have liked LA Knight or penta to win but here we are.
Jacob turn was ok, could have been a little bit better?
The main event 80% of it was putting me asleep. It only got interesting when Logan and Cena started arguing.

Saturday nights AD event, utterly pathetic the amount of breaks they took. Then they take a break at the end of the goldberg match, go back for 30 seconds when he's addressing the crowd then cut it off. They haven't even uploaded the full version to their YouTube channel.

His match really should have been at summerslam, putting it on what's nothing but a glorified house show was a waste.

Still get the feeling there's a lot of negative WCW bias in WWE's management even with the likes of Vince, Dunn and Laurinaitis out the picture.

Well he's the last big WCW star i suppose, you could say Mysterio but in wcw he was a midcarder at best as was Jericho.

Let’s see how WWE plays this one cos his reputation hasn’t been the greatest in recent years.

His impact on wrestling there can’t be any denying I’ll leave it there.

RIP

Regardless of his actions in recent decades, he was probably one of the big reasons WWE became as big as it was, and he pioneered wrestlers properly branching out into acting.

Edit: BBC just put up a live updates page

Spent a few hours watching some old classics I watched with my late father back in the very early 90's. So many stars and I've no idea if they're around anymore. Great times man as I'd forgotten how entertaining Gorilla Monsoon, Jesse Ventura along with Rowdy Piper were as commentators.

So far I've watched Royal Rumble and Survivor Series 1990 which is in the WWE Vault on YT.

Just done a quick Look at the Royal Rumble 1990 and 14 out of the 30 in the Rumble match are dead now so nearly half!

Think I saw a fact somewhere that with Hulks passing that of the Wrestlers (so excluding Mr T etc) there is only Sgt Slaughter and Bret Hart still alive from the first 11 Wrestlemania main events!

Chelsea Green got a lot hate for tribute to Hulk Hogan because it didn't address some of the darker parts of Hogan's legacy and has now taken herself of social media. Absolutely crazy, people that call themselves tolerant as it turns out are some of the least tolerant people on the planet.

I know racism can't be justified and people are entitled to their own political views but at least Hogan didn't pull a Chris Benoit.
Hogan still deserves respect as a wrestler on what he brought to the table and people should acknowledge that and separate it from his personal life and views.
The same is said for Benoit, people acknowledge what he has done and what he brought to wrestling but at the same time acknowledge what he had done outside of that was completely wrong.
