Show Us Your Motors!

I secretly but not secretly love it.
The grill looks real smart now @Akagi

Thanks! The grille isn't perfect, I need go go back and tidy it up a little, but it was a LOT of work! It took about 4 hours with a Dremel to do that, and I broke or wore out several attachments.

People say things used to be made properly, and my god. A radiator grille does not need to be that sturdy! :p

MrsHB decided to have the Maxton Design rear diffuser added to her Cupra so we popped over to their Leeds HQ to have it fitted. They’ve updated their logo in the past week so they removed all the old branding and updated to the new on the other bits which was previously fitted. Great guys there and some serious machinery in the car park.

They’ve also got a racing sim in the waiting area, and gave MrsHB some free merch.

Rear only, pics by them.

Come say hello if your here today! :)

What's the quality of driving like there? I recently seen some stupid manoeuvres which caused some nasty accidents, no self-awareness is putting it lightly...

Not really any worse than its ever been just gets more attention now due to social media etc. I tend to avoid mid - late day driving and hit the track as soon as it opens at 8am before it gets crazy

The number plate on that orange one is incredible

Are you not tempted to go for a smaller plate? With the standard spacing and character size it still leaves the option to reduce the plate size by a third by trimming off some of the blank space either side.

If you mean on my car?
Yes and no, the plate I have is a static one so its not permament and as such takes seconds to remove and about a minute to put back on if wanting to get it on straight. When I am at shows I just remove it, it was only still on car at this point as I'd not parked up yet. :)

I may in the future just get a sticker plate in the smallest (legal) size and just stick that perma on. :)

His nickname is Spiceboy so works perfectly for both owner and the car. :D

My mate who cancelled his RS Spyder order after driving my 600 LT, has now picked up his 600 LT Spyder:

There is only 16 MSO cars in the UK, here is two of them side by side.
He is over the moon with it and glad he cancelled the Porsche order, mine has just ticked over 22,000 miles and his one is on 21,500 miles, we are both of to Italy in September and I am also going to PH Annual meet at Bicester Heritage next weekend if anyone from forums is going again.

Hope it was less of a mess than Supercarfest's Track event!

600LT looking good as ever mind :)

I'll be at the PH Annual meet again in the 650S all being well but it's in with Thorney at the moment having the DLD done

The black wheels suit it.

Posted in the detailing thread but may as well show here as well. This is straight after a multi stage correction and ceramic coating at a local detailer, on my Renault 5. The dealership had taken a brush/scouring pad/piece of sandpaper, then proceeded to rub it all over the entire car. Then spent probably all of about 2 minutes with a filthy pad trying to “correct” it. I exaggerate but I’ve purchased used cars that have had better condition paint. To their credit, they did pay the full amount for the work that had to be done.

I went to Supercar Fest the Track Event last year, found the track boring and very unsuitable for supercars, particular with ceramics. The whole event was also a bit lack lustre, so swerved it this year, glad I did. :)

Gassed on Track was opposition, vastly better than expected, they really had something for everyone. Proper F1 cars on track, Nascar on track, Hyper/Super cars on track, track time for regular cars, there was a few crashed as per with any track day, but no one hurt. The event was superb though, easily one of the best events in UK full stop as so varied and catering for all but done so well. :)

A quick mash up video I made of event:

Gibbo, do you have super ceramic coating on that 600 LT? The paintwork always looks so immaculate.

A mix of Gtechniq CSL/EXO and HALO, applied it myself and easily the best ceramic coating I've used for longevity and results, very time consuming to apply and has to be done indoors, but well worth the hard work for the results. Makes washing very easy also, great hydrophobic results and truly protects from seagull dumps which some ceramic coatings I've used have not protected from seagull poop.
