Based on what we've seen from labs, BF has two options on console - performance and fidelity.

Fidelity targets 60fps, on both base PS5 and Pro.

Performance mode is unlocked fps - sitting around 65-90 on the base PS5, and between 90-120 on the PS5 Pro.

We'll have a better idea of how it runs with the open beta, looking forward to playing it on my Pro tbh.
Yes i was going to test the beta first before deciding. Plenty of time before its out properly. I only play battlefield so don't mind spending if its better on pro, I've got a sony 77 a95l which can do 120mhz so might be a good idea.

I'm trying to buy Gran Turismo 7 but it's £69.99 on the PSN store (I have a slim and don't have a disk drive) can't you buy PS5 games cheaper digitally from CD key sites like you can on Xbox? I've done a Google and can't find any resellers for GT7

Generally no, the closest to that is you can buy discounted PSN wallet credit and you can save 10-20% on the RRP.

Otherwise you just have to wait for PS Store sales. You've just missed GT7 at 50% off, it will probably go on sale again in the next 3-4 months.

GT7 has had good reductions so you’ll either have to wait or go for it at full price. It’s an amazing game btw some of the best online racing I’ve ever had.

I bought it for approx 22 quid recently from the PSN US store. It was on sale for $29.39. I bought 3 $10 top up cards from cd keys for £7.29 each - 21.87 in total. You just need to create a US PSN account - pick a state with no sales tax - and you can buy and play games from there on a UK PS5 without any restrictions. The savings can be considerable. For example Wo Long Fallen Dynasty is currently on sale in the UK PSN store for £26.99 but on the US store it's selling for $23.99 which is around £18! I've had a US PSN account for over a decade and bought PS3, PS4 and PS5 games on it without any issues. And yeah GT7 is a brilliant game - I've been hooked on it since I bought it a week ago and I don't usually go for driving games but it's really addictive racing, getting and upgrading new cars and opening new tracks to race on. Haven't tried the online racing yet but I'll get around to it one day...

If you're buying from the US store you can now use Apple Pay on the PS Store to circumvent the usual region checks they have on credit cards. It may still depend on what card you have linked to Apple Pay, but I was able to buy directly using that without having to resort to buying wallet credit top ups from the likes of CD Keys or Play Asia.

Yes definitely less hassle using Apple Pay. CD Keys is often slightly cheaper though plus they have a loyalty discount which brings the price down a bit more. I just bought a $50 top up card from them for £32.89 (I had a 2 quid loyalty discount applied too) almost 5 quid cheaper than the exchange rate value of 37.4 currently.

There are some really good discounts on the US store currently:

Klonoa = £11.24 UK vs £7.48 ($9.99) US
FFVI = £29.99 UK vs £22.44 ($29.99) US
Avatar = £20.99 UK vs £15.71 ($20.99) US
Wo Long Complete = £32.99 UK vs £26.94 ($35.99) US
Horizon FW = £32.99 UK vs £22.44 ($29.99) US

And a whole bunch more..

Just saw a post on HotUKDeals about a GT7 deal, £29.99 at Argos and recalled a post in this thread... But now see you don't have the ps5 disc drive.

Stumbled into this thread on Resetera this morning; PS5 shipments top 80.3 million. Launched aligned it means the PS5 is 2m behind the PS4. Which is interesting all things considered.

Also interesting because there a few leaks around the the new hardware KeplerL2: Xbox X|S hardware has sold less than 30 million units LTD and current PS5 & Xbox hardware Profitability; there is some debate on the actual equivalent numbers for Microsoft. Although there is confirmation in that thread that both manufacturers reduced manufacturing (Sony), or halted it completely (Microsoft) in Q1 last year. Which demonstrates how volatile the current market is and the difference in fortunes between the two manufacturers.
