Interesting, was just reading the latest changes, didnt know that they have removed the spawn beacon from Recon and made it an Assault class item instead. Must be some sniper campers up in arms about that change.

For me, more would mean better, IF its done well, then again I loved Planetside which had vastly more players per match than any BF game and I love Hell Let Loose which also has more players than BF per side...but yes, it has to be done well and that means evolving the design of the game and its mechanics

Maybe I misread all the early access information, I got access via BF Labs, can get into the settings so when does the game go live, is it tomorrow night (if so what time) or Saturday morning (BST)?

Here are the start times for each weekend of the Battlefield 6 beta: Early Access: 1am PT / 4am ET / 9am BST on August 7th. Weekend 1: 1am PT / 4am ET / 9am BST on August 9th. Weekend 2: 1am PT / 4am ET / 9am BST on August 16th.

since discord came along well even teamspeak many people play in groups of more than 4. many comp games are 6v6 for eg. ive mostly played battlefield unless soloing it with more than 4 everytime. i guess its just who you play with really. the party size does matter though . shouldnt be limited to 4.

5 man squads work well as with the 6th person, you can split into 2 3-man squads.
 
I hope it's 64 players this time round, the maps look pretty small so would be way to hectic with 128 players. We don't want all maps to become a Metro spam fest!

Until they changed the effect of movement on sniper rifles ones of my favourite things to do in BF4 was deep penetration as Recon with the 338 Recon using iron sights or red dot and get a beacon down. Used to get so many accusations of cheating one shotting people to the head on the move.

Depends if its any good. I've not been bothered with gaming for some years now, play the odd 20 mins of battlefield 5 now and again and that's about it. Just got to a stage where it feels like "seen it, done it" and my interest has mostly gone.

for last 7-10 years played almost daily with more than 4. :p what makes battiefield more fun as many on here will tell you is grouping up joining same servers having fun ! they seem to have forgotten this basic but important element.

seen some crying today because the DS4 script wont work in battlefield 6 either..i use it for my controls i need it ! haha not the aimbot and wallhacks. so many commenting on it. on pc play with controller and scripts right.......

We must just play different games, as very few of the ones my friends and I play support more than 4 players, most , as with the upcoming Arc Raiders, seem to only support 3 players in co-op these days. As for what makes battlefield more fun, well thats subjective of course (the most fun I have in BF is in matches where people actually hang around to defend an objective point, instead of simply capturing one and then rushing to the next one and doing the objective blob cycle) , I've been playing BF games for over 20 years and dont think I've ever grouped with more than 3 friends at once and had plenty of fun along the way :)

Sounds like you might have had fun in BF6, shame that a 4 player squad limit is a killer for you for the game, not to worry though, LOADS of other games to play !
