You don't need to have leathers - textiles have come a long way.

In my opinion don't bother with leathers

leathers are completely overkill for your needs

I couldn't imagine wearing leathers on the road

100% agreed.

I've got a set of 2 piece leathers so slightly less of a pain in the arse than 1 piece, got them the year after I passed so they're about 9 years old.
They've probably been worn less than 9 times

I went out with one of my leather jackets the other day to nip to the shops, and it did feel strange being 'constrained' again.

just spend the money on decent textiles rather than splitting the money and getting ok leathers and ok textiles

Leather is more protective but for almost everything else textile is better

some of the aramid jeans are basically as good as leather in terms of protection

You honestly don't need leathers to do a CBT and ride a 125

Get a decent textiles jacket and some jeans

lol:

Leather jacket and trousers

On an unrelated note I was driving into our head office the other morning which also has one of our regional distribution centres on the same site and seen something which made me sad.
Coming down the access road there's 3 lanes going in 1 lane coming out, 2 left lanes for lorries into the RDC, middle lane for cars to turn into head office and right lanes for lorries coming out of the RDC.

A learner on their 25 plate shiny new new YBR or whatever the model is these days decided that they couldn't see any of the road markings, or the lorry driving towards them and decided the right hand lane was the correct one to ride onto site in. Even the lorry flashing and beeping at them didn't seem to deter them. Scary how brain dead someone on an already risky mode of transport can be.

When I was leaving JS, a motorbiker took the entrance early, cut the corner and went into our land.

I need some valve caps after dropping one of mine behind the wheel trim on the car and deciding it wasn't worth the ballache to save a quid and fish it out :o

For weight saving and strength.
:D
What type of carbon fiber weave is used the those dust caps?
