His ambient temperature was 27 °C, so in my opinion without ac.

Not yet, and I’ll probably return it, because a user on Reddit who has the Xtreme Waterforce sent me his results, and his temps in FurMark were at most 70 °C with the same fan speeds. I might return mine and buy it again.

However, how long did you own the Xtreme Waterforce?
May.

Note, hes not running in 4k. Still surprised at 80 though.

Yes. Not that we should need to anyway...

Worrying. I'm using some third party cable from asiahorse on the rainforest.

Wonder if I should switch back to the original that came with psu, it looked so rubbish tho.

Also undervolted I think it pulls 500 ish watts max now.

Mine pulled the same. Either the cable that came with the GPU or PSU, I would not use some questionable quality cable...

This is what I'm using.

Click gpu option

Weirdly it says not 5090 but where I ordered from stated 5090.

Crazy horse...I couldn't recommend. Maybe other forum members can...can you not get 4x to 12vhpwr for your psu?

Vito:
I read your posts, and you had the Asus Astral LC, right? Was the Xtreme Waterforce better? I was also considering the Astral LC because of the pin monitoring feature. But you didn’t seem too happy with the Astral LC and bought Xtreme Waterforce, right?

I thought the pump was annoying. Constantly changed pitch/griding noise, however...

Just bought another one, had it for a few days and totally different. Yes, aware of the pump, 'maybe' a 'little' louder than the Waterforce, but doesn't changed pitch so happy with it. And not aware of coil whine. Build is much better, solid. Radiator is thicker also.

I also changed the PSU, was 'older' Asus Rog Aurus 3.0 1200w, 12vhpwr direct (new in November).
To Asus Thor III 1200w, with intelligent voltage, and power display.

Voltage is always over 12v on all rails now gaming, dipped with other PSU.
All pins pulling roughly the same amps and much tighter than previous Astrals. So I think PSU has helped.

Additional, when the Thermal Grizzly monitored the temperature on the cable (Thermal sensor cable) and the input output temps, the cable input was regularly 70 Celsius plus, whilst my motherboard monitoring Thermal Cable showed the PSU side cable about 44 Celsius. (Didn't realise this may be an issue).

Now the Thermal Temp Cable on the 12V-2x6 cable into the PSU is under 30 Celsius lower gaming! Asus does advertise up to 12 Celsius lower pin temp due to high performance pins.

Sorry long answer, but Im much happier now and personally think the Astral is worth it for my peace of mind. You can set a temp alarm on GPU Tweak, Aida, and HW monitor.

I'll get a replacement/repair on the Waterforce, but will sell it on and take a hit.

I was worried about the Astral because of coil whine, and the SUPRIM was a bad experience for me. So I don’t know if I should buy it.

You can return within 30 days from Overclockers, other 'square' cardboard company I know, most others 14 days to change your mind. Yes cost you postage.
I've now had 3 LC Astral and 1 Air, didn't find coil whine bad.

Can you make a video of your Astral LC during TimeSpy benchmark? Not Extreme version but regular. Especially graphics test 1? Really appreciate it. And how loud is the pump?

For the sound? I reckon the pump is a few decibels lowder than Waterforce. But you will only hear in in a silent room.
