Amazon Prime sucks massive donkey balls

The wife ordered some foot cleaning stuff, looks like an electric shaver to get rid of the thick skin on the foot and the driver ask for an id, I though they only ask for dob and for alocohol and pointy cutting/stuff only. Is this normal now?I refused the delivery and ordered from ebay instead.
I had that for something equally innocuous (tiny engraving cutters for my CNC router), it was part of an order for 4 other intems being delivered. I told the guy to take the whole lot back as I was refusing deliveryof all items. To be fair it was not the drivers fault as he was just following orders, it was the advertiser listing it as 18+ only. Whatever, I went on Amazon and cancelled all the items for a refund. Ever since then I've not had an issue, even for chef's knives and a Swiss Army knife. I thought they changed their policy to 'use your common sense and only ask if there is any doubt about the recipients age'. Apparently not.

Im putting in a claim through Amazon.

I've threatened legal action on them but I said to them I would give them a chance to sort it first, they have a company called Sedgewick which deal with that stuff apparently.

I bought some stuff for athletes foot and it took the skin off my toes, 2 visits to hopsital, 2 to the doctor, feet banaged up unable to to walk for best part of 2 weeks.

Wish me luck.

I cancelled Prime years ago as I find that I don't watch their tv shows or music that much. The only thing useful was the next day delivery but tbh, I don't find collecting items from my local locker anyway and when they increased their price, well there was no longer any incentive to stick around. Mind you their customer service was always top notch.

Oof. Always go to the pharmacist and get over the counter advice for any kind of medicinal stuff never had any trouble with athletes foot stuff from there

Luckily for me the decline has not led to missed delivery dates. But I do now need to do a Sunday delivery or pre 1pm delivery to get it before 6pm. Standard mon-sat next day now doesnt even leave warehouse until early afternoon, when it used to during the night.

Amazon do some weird delivery stuff splitting orders between their own couriers and Royal Mail. For example, I bought 48 bog rolls on Subscribe & Save. Half the bog rolls came with the rest of the stuff by their own courier but the remaining 24 had been sent by Royal Mail. Why????

Did you use all 24 before the royal mail ones showed up? :P

i freaking love Amazon prime... I only have to buy 3 things a month and i've made the postage cost.

Its incredibly cheap to shop and import on the USA portal as i've recently found out.

I cant imagine being back in London and getting same day or even same hour delivery.....

I wouldn't use anything else ever.

I swear their drivers are getting ever more careless/lazy/delete as appropriate. Someone in the building has had a bulk delivery of toilet rolls and other consumables and the driver simply opened the main door and dumped everything in the entrance hallway anyone trying to get in or out of the building has to clamber over this small mountain of crap

Yeah, It obviously depends on the driver, but I've noticed it recently. Not too fussed though, at least it leads to getting some stuff free when their proof of delivery shows no-one accepting the product. My mate got his PS5 for free on release because the driver just left it on his door step in plain view of his whole street.

Got the attempted delivery message yesterday, camera showed the driver rang the bell and immediately walked off with the parcel which he needed a code for. He didn't even wait.

Makes no sense.

If you were getting paid peanuts per drop, how much effort do you think you’d put in?
I had a morrisons amazon delivery guy take about 40 mins to deliver my order, I was so frustrated as it was interrupting something I was doing with him phoning me up every few minutes, I indirectly told him to just dump it and then I claim refund, but to my surprise he did eventually turn up and deliver apologising.

Amazon send the order via royal fail.
This is going to london but somehow royal fail send it to scotland on the other side of the country and was able to deliver it and even get a signature.
I'm very curious on how this could have happened, was royal fail using a machine sorter at the depot and somehow the machine send it to scotland on error, how about the actual postie was able to get a signature and able to deliver it.
The LATDMS on the delivery address appeared after I called royal fail and complained.

My misses has become so sick of drivers throwing stuff over our back garden gate or (on rare occasions when gate is unlocked) literally walking down the garden path to our rear door, she’s now started claiming undelivered items.

The amount of times we’ve had to direct drivers to the front when they get confused is unreal. Most either can’t use google maps to guide themselves on foot or more likely can’t be bothered.

We have rear on street parking and foot path on our streets front doors. This is like kryptonite to Amazon drivers.

My misses is very much again random people just coming into our back garden.
