[Indie Game] Project Zomboid

My last post in this thread is from 10 years ago. I still play and love this game. I don't want to know what that says about me...

It's one of those games one keeps coming back too. It's great fun. Most likely I will come back to it when Build 42 is finally released.

Tried yet again to get into this, every time I leave miffed.

I don't mind a challenging game, especially starting. But despite watching guides, pushing and running, working on my stats - I just die early or get some terrible disfigurement that turns it into an arduous slog.

Can someone perhaps give me some pointers for a 'nicer' start, or point me in the direction of a guide for gamers who lost their edge years ago and just want a lovely experience in the apocalypse?:D

Sandbox mode: Slow shamblers, low zombie population, poor memory, sight and hearing and increase loot etc. Start as a burglar then you can hotwire a car. And turn off exertion if using build 42. That said you will still die.

You're a gent thank you. Exactly the sort of concise thing I'm looking for.

I don't mind dying, find it satisfying when you make progress and learn. I just feel like I get worse with every run normally.

I've saved this and I'll give it a whirl next time I play it, I've got some time coming up and needed a new play through. Thank you!
