Assetto Corsa EVO jan 2025

I'm concerned about the "improved" physics coming in the next update. EVO is already my favorite in that department. I hope they don't screw it up.

I just want them to sort the steering wheel and basic menu and setup systems.

I can't get my steering wheel to work full stop, it recognises it's connected but does nothing with it. Using controller the steering is inconsistent

looking at the latest video they posted I'm a bit concerned on how cartoony it looks. I'm sure in years to come there will be graphics mods but why do Kunos go for this look? ACC has the same issue.

G29 (G923's PS cousin) is what I'm using and it's working nicely. Make sure the wheel is showing in the Logitech Gaming Software app, sometimes it doesn't and needs rebooting etc.

So still no official 0.3 release, but there's an opt-in multiplayer beta available via the usual Steam method.

Code is h5gUeGopJOlM5yoJlgFu

Shows in the app, works with my other games.

Even has a special asseto Corsa evo game setting according to the Logitech software.

I'll have to play around with it, but why can it not just work out the box, recognise it's connected and allow me to adjust a few settings in the menu to get the feel I want and be done with it, plenty of other games do this.

A mainstream branded wheel from a known supplier, you'd expect it to work.

Think it will, but need to spend the time setting it up.

Why can't we just plug and play? We don't all have hours and hours to spend trying to get stuff working. With busy family life I get very little time, usually around an hour a week, so the time I do get I want to spend gaming not messing about trying to get something to work

Just checked this out for you. You do need to go into controls and select the wheel, then bind each of the controls you want to it.

It's also a good idea to bind the UI controls to the D-Pad etc so you don't need to keep going back to the keyboard and mouse.

Also, if you have any other controllers plugged in that you're not going to use with the game and you don't want to unplug, then it's a good idea to unbind any mappings from them as they might be causing a conflict.

Sorted the steering wheel, the game is now loads better to play, though I do find the monetary system is now annoying with so little given, I'm stuck with the cosworth which just feels slow.

It also doesn't help in a 10 lap race I'll do 8 fine then make a stupid mistake, but I was up to top 5 not finishing in top 3 so won't let me progress to next race. Obviously it's my own fault, but it is frustrating lol

Just tried out the new physics this past weekend and I wish they hadn't messed with it. I think it was much better before. Now it feels very pass/fail (binary). It still rewards proper inputs, but seems to have lost a lot of nuance.

My bi-monthly check-in to say I have zero clue what anyone sees in this title, why it exists, or how something could be this poor after like 4 years of development

I'm not sure why I bought it either tbh lol

I wanted asseto Corsa, and see this as the latest version, however I didn't do my research until I had bought it and loaded it and realised I'd made a mistake.

It still needs a ton of work, it's by far from polished, however I seem to be able to spend time learning the tracks with no assistance which for some reason and I've no idea why I just can't on Forza
