The World Expansion II free content update:

i can see Co-op being good fun.
Maybe in world expansion 4 we might see it.
its not an easy feture to bring in when its not be full planned for so its not surprising its taking a while to implement.
be interesting if they incorporate Co-Op in to the story element or not.

another riftbreaker pilot alient or other wise, or if its just a multiplay option not tied to the main game in any way.

The only thing I'm finding a bit tricky is trying to figure out exactly what buildings do and why I'm building them! Sometimes it could just do with joining the dots a little bit more....

Like the research station, I've no idea what it actually does! Sounds daft, but the lab seems to do the research?

Also bioscanning.....not entirely sure why I'm bothering?

Find myself having to google things a fair bit to figure stuff out....what the various symbols and metrics mean.

Other than that, I am having a heap of fun with the immolator and sword!


Also.....is there any easy way of telling what a building is once you've built it? There are some things I've built and have to match it up with the picture in the build menu to figure it out!

From memory the research station is only needed in a couple of specific scenarios which should be clear (I think there will be an objective to place one).

Bioscanning is used to gain familiarity with the various types of flora/fauna, which then unlocks associated research in the laboratory. You only need a certain level, and not everything unlocks research. I believe it also allows you to grow the associated type of plants.
 
started a new campaign last night, they've made some balance changes but you can configure some of it in the custom game menu. research requires resources as well as time now which can make the early game feel a bit slower. Weapon mods and damage has changed as well so some of the broken late game stuff should be nerfed like the multi-element lightning gun.
