Google Pixel 10 Series (10/10 Pro/10 Pro XL/10 Pro Fold & Pixel Watch 4)

My 10 Pro arrived yesterday and I'm overall very happy with it, however I'm finding it gets very hot when charging unlike the 8 that I had previously.

Yeah I said the same thing yesterday, gets much warmer than my 8 Pro does.

Does your 10 Pro screen have a Pink Tint when look at from an angle like the 10 Pro XL appears to have?
Check my updated pics, it's hard to notice.

Some reviews are in.

In essence. The G5 chip is pretty lame. Next to no improvements in battery life or heat management (how is that even possible?) and the cameras are the same as last which which is the same as the year before that.
It's not though... I think anyone expecting it to match the snap elite is off their head given they've had to swap fab as well as onto a new process

Better than snap 8 gen 3 single threaded, a little behind in multi threaded, and you say this is a lame processor... If you want the fastest cpu for gaming, just get something else?

As for battery/heat I guess that may be use case case by use case, case or maybe not using the pro (the pro has vapour chamber) but xl at least has a bit larger battery this year. I'm a pretty heavy user and battery/heat is never a problem, I don't shoot long videos so can't comment if it's an issue there...

Only gripe I _might_ have had is the max battery cycle count 1k vs samsung 2k vs apple 1.2k, but then with £640 trade in for 9PXL and likely a nice trade in next year I'm never going to hit that max cycle count am i :)

Did I mention anything about benchmark scores?..

No you said the G5 was "lame", I just disagree. Benchmarks aside, in real world use Pixel 9/10 are fantastic phones and the G5 is a very capable chip leading to a very satisfying experience.

I have the 10 Pro XL, and tbh I can't really see a pink tint. Tried cranking the brightness up to full and still doesn't look pink.

If it's still getting the same 'bottom of the pack' battery life tests results as the G4 and G3 then in my book it's poor and lame.

I have to agree, I have another snapdragon elite phone and the pixel 10 is just faster and smoother, benchmarks aside.

I couldn't care less what a benchmark number says!

My battery has been off charge since 7am, its still got over 50% remaining. FAR better than the 8 pro.

I have the Xiaomi 15 ultra and it feels as fast and if not faster than the 10 Pro.

Like I said before the even 8 Pro never felt slow or laggy outsode photo processing times.

Haha nice try.
Its got a way bigger battery there. Try the same size like the xl vs the s25u and the rest.

I'm talking XL performance. If they put a bigger battery in the XL... like they should have...I'd be content.

Linus, the verge, techspurt have all reported the same results as the 9.
Yea, as impressive as that is (iPhones normally outlast competition on smaller cell sizes batteries) I'd like to see a proper test with the XL against competition.

Having used the XL now for a bit, it definitely feels like a much more efficient battery (Vs 8 pro) but would like to see some actual drain down tests.

I left mine sat on an old slow wireless charger yesterday evening and couldn't believe how hot it was when I picked it up almost fully charged

I've got a Pixelsnap charger coming Monday so will be interesting to see how it is with that, guess I also need to test without a case.

Please keep us updated how you get on with the Pixelsnap, I'm considering getting one as I don't own a wireless charger but could be tempted.

I recall that battery in p8pro was getting hot at first as well.
Installing new apps, phone adapting etc
Lasted a week or 2 and then just started to behave normal

Will do, it does seem a bit expensive for what it is but with all the store credit I figured I may as well, plus it looks pretty cool. The current wireless charger I have came free with a Xiaomi phone 7 years ago, I've often thought about getting a new one but as nice an idea as wireless charging is, I always figure it takes a second to plug a cable in.

Anyway, will let you know once it turns up.
