Just a heads up first boot on AM5 can take up to 15mins for anything to show on screen and may reboot a few times, this is because the motherboard is training the memory so be patient.

Thanks for the heads up, saves me panicking when nothing happens. Order arriving tomorrow so hopefully have it built for the weekend. Are there any changes I need to make in the bios before installing windows?

No just select boot device and away you go you can check the memory speed is correct if you like but definitely worth checking at some point to see if it's running at the correct speed.

Hi, everything seemed to go ok with the build and it posted first time. The only thing I can’t get the PC to recognise is my DVD player so I can install windows from a disk. Bios won’t recognise the drive (plugged in to sata). Any ideas or shall I just download windows to a hard drive and boot it that way? Thanks.

Use a USB flash drive is easiest way.

Hi quick question with the DRAM timing. The data sheet says the timings should be 48-48-48-88 but BIOS only gives me the options of EXP01 @ 6000MT/s 48-48-48-96 or EXP02 @ 5600MT/s 46-45-45-90. Have it set to EXP01 but will the timings not matching up have any effect on the system? Thanks.
