Games you're playing, and games...

I'm currently playing Spiderman Remastered.

I've found gaming a struggle just recently and couldn't find a game to sink my teeth into, but really enjoying this so far.

I started what is probably my 10th playthrough of Uncharted 2 last night. It's been about 5 years since I last played it and man, there are 2 things that struck me.

The first 60-90 minutes are not good, at all. Really boring and tedious. And then as soon as you arrive in Nepal it's like a different game - the funny one-liners come out and the gameplay opens up with the nice environments and big set pieces. And the second thing is the comedy - I forgot just how funny this game is. They really dialed up the writing from the first one.

Absolutely killer game. Can't wait to get back on it later!

Never played Uncharted 2 (!) Loved Uncharted 3, 4 and the Lost Legacy - Tempted to play it and amazed I have never actually played it :o Looking forward to Ghost of Yotei out next month, need something to fill the time :D

I was playing Oblivion (remastered) but lost interest in it, just felt really bland although it looked nice

^ Silksong release has prompted me to return to try and finish Hollow Knight.

Only a few hours in and enjoying it but I suspect I'll hit an eventual brick wall, like I do with all these types of platformers. But till then, let's see how far I can get!

I finished it but my god some of it was frustrating as hell. Took me forever to get to the end. Hoping this one is easier!

Aye. It's the frustration that turns me off. I can see myself having a moment when dying with a shedload of geo and again before hitting the shade!

I've learnt to walk from games when it gets too much in order not to taint the enjoyment I got from actually playing them. Elden Ring was a classic example. I'm stunned I managed to get to the final boss (likewise with the DLC) but that was it for me.

A couple more hours in and I'm really enjoying Silksong, want to take my time with it.

Not sure how long the game is to beat but I'm going to try and 100% it.

Wow, what is that handheld?
It's a retroid pocket 5 :) a lot of people are emulating/running it by various methods on these devices (as they're android) , but here I'm just running it via geforce now :)

Anyone playing Cronos: New Dawn? Looks pretty good, curious to hear how it looks/runs on PS5 as the PC version seems to suffer from the near-inevitable UE5 stutter issues.

Currently I've been spending a lot of time on the new Skate game. I'm really enjoying it, despite it still being an "early access" game they have definitely nailed the physics from a skating standpoint. It is definitely less floaty than Skate 3 but not sim heavy like Session or Skater XL
