Games you're playing, and games...

Just started Atomfall, looking forward to putting some hours in

Edit: about 8 hours in now, been pretty much just exploring, and it's alright.... not great, feels like I have seen everything the game is going to offer, and I'm quite indifferent about the story. It's not at all helped by the god awful AI - it's like a PS1 game in that regard.

Oh well, only cost 35 quid, so I'll crack on with it, then probably sell it on

Stumbled upon Bolatro, very addictive and got hooked without even realising it, one minute I was trying to play poker hands the next I was looking for the best jokers and multipliers to build my deck and then I lost hours, amazing game!

Yep, binned off Hollow Knight; far too frustrating with it's pixel perfect jumping. Managed as far as the bridge, which is next to the Fungal wastes, and even unlocked half of it but realised the effort and repeated dying sucked out all of the enjoyment. So that's that!

Picked up AC:Shadows for 35 sheets, so I'll start that today (assuming DHL deliver it).

Not played, watched GameRanx before you buy and didn't like the look of it!

It's reviewed fairly well so I'll definitely pick it up at some point, just curious to know how it runs on the base PS5 as SH2 wasn't the smoothest experience. Digital Foundry have only covered the PC version so far.

Playing Death Stranding : Directors Cut on PS5 just now. Only gave it a whirl as it was on Playstation Plus, always thought it looked nice but would be a bit boring.

How wrong was I - I'm hooked!!! :D

I've decided to be really good and not buy any more games until at least after Xmas, so I can work through my backlog.

And to that end... Valyrie Elysium is my next game. Seems quite hard so far lol. I think I'm getting old.

Finished Atomfall, probably give the game 7/10, the (lack of) AI really let the whole game down imo, and although the world and various maps were nice; it ended up feeling like a bit of a waking simulator at times, just retracing the map over and over. It kind of felt like a Resident Evil game in terms of progressing through doors and what not, and the story was pretty good.

Finished Clair Obscur on PS5. Absolutely brilliant game, 10/10. Really enjoying the endgame as well, very well balanced so far between getting stupidly powered up but also very difficult enemies.
Feels like this is what FF16 could have been if SE had put their best devs on it, but even then, it wouldn't have been anywhere near as original.

Just started it the other day. Running on performance mode on PS5 pro and no complaints so far.

Same here, started it last night and really enjoyable so far, looks and plays really well, very much like a mix of Dead Space and Silent Hill, what is not a bad thing. Have to play it with headphones on and the lights off :D

Dipping back into Alan Wake 2 now, only got past the Witch and the heart bit - so not too far in before I dropped it for other stuff

40 hours into Assassins Creed Odyssey and still enjoying it. When I get bored of on land stuff, I just go hunting down pirate ships lol.

It’s an amazing game, a true ‘odyssey’. I play it once a year and have a max level character with lots of min-maxed gear.

One hint for you: purple epics are actually better than legendary gear because you can affix more capabilities to them, but in the early game legendary gear is nice. The venomous set in particular is great for assassin builds. Also get the bighorn bow from the store - it’s bugged and gives you more extra damage than it’s meant to!

After finishing Jedi Survivor I started AC Origins and am currently at around level 18 with a few areas explored, but still got a long way to go looking at the map

Noticed that Spiderman Remastered was on PS Plus, so started that last night and played an hour or so going through the first mission and intro to the game. I enjoyed Miles Morales so will hopefully enjoy this too

These will be my games for a while
