I have a 15 Pro Max and my AppleCare+ ends on September 22nd; is there an option to extend it?The biggest upgrade this year is the 15 Pro being fully paid off and it being such a capable phone, now costing me only AppleCare+ per month.
The regular 17 is a really solid phone now with 120hz, 256gb and A19. The Pixel 10 base with 256gb is £100 more at 899. Although no one is paying full price for a Pixel.
I've always preferred the lighter non-Pro models but the 60hz was a tough pill to swallow. Unless they do something ground breaking with the camera over the next few iterations my next iPhone will be a base model.

I think the iPhone has hit a plateau since like iPhone 12 or 13 I'd argue. Perhaps iPhone 15 when they had USB-C. But then....all the phones i mention uses the same verion of iOS so the way we interact with it is the same.
People don't go around shooting 28 years later with their iPhones, it's a halo feature, not a day to day use.
I'd be 100% skipping this one now that i've slept on it, and if next year's model is still the same fraction forward then I might break my routine and keep my 14 Pro for the 5th year.
Is that a hardware or software issue, though?
That's a bit of a stretch.
with no experience of the epix, you'll have to help me:good question, it's clearly a choice made by apple and others, they do not see the need to optimize.
is it? what exactly does say, garmin(i've got recent experience with epix 2) miss compared to apple watch?
24/7 hr

top of my head, what is it missing ?
Similar, but not same. NFC, fast charging, app support, few other subtle differences and I think Garmin lacks some of the 'smart' features AW can do.top of my head, what is it missing ?
The more activity-focused watches get better battery life because their screens and smart capabilities are a lot worse. The Apple Watch, for example, has far better integration with my phone, whereas the Garmin is lacking.top of my head, what is it missing ?

I can't stop it from being nicked by some douche on a moped when you're walking down the street if it's just magnets, surely...all the phone being in the large camera bump on the air was impressive but yeah really not blown away.
That lanyard to make your phone a handbag was very odd

I just conceded that I’m old and it would be fun for a day but then wonder why I have an Orange phone six months down the line. LolIf I do go for it I’ve decided I’m not getting the orange. Not sure I’m cool enough to advertise my flamboyant personality through the purchase of brightly coloured consumer goods.
A fingerprint sensor is the one feature i wish Apple would include/bring back; it baffles me why they haven't given the technology is pretty robust and more security options would only be a good thing.- I prefer side finger print or under screen
There are differences in bands between regional devices (https://www.apple.com/uk/iphone/cellular/) and it's worth looking at your network here to see what bands are and are not supported before purchasing. Will a US 17 PM model work ok in the UK? Probably get one in October when I’m over there, nice little saving.
Even then, the big software features aren't turning up on time. Certainly maximising profits seems to be Tim's main goal at the minute and imo, some fresh blood at the top wouldn't be a bad thing. They've gone from trickling out a couple of minor revisions and one decent new thing, to doing stuff in software and doing next to nothing with the hardware, I'm sure the shareholders and beancounters are happy though... :/
