I've put the Corrado back on the road after three years of it being SORNed in my garage. It's now road legal again. It drives very well for a 31 year old car and I'm now at 14 years ownership. I almost sold it a few years ago but couldn't bring myself to do it, which is why I just put it in the garage for a while. But the love is definitely invigorated again. I'd forgotten just how much of an occasion it is to drive; so much more engaging than a modern car, and small even compared to my Mini.

EDIT: Interior money shot for the full 1990's experience :D

As a typical weirdo car lover I sometimes trawl the classifieds looking at these and the MK3 Golf VR6. Exhaust note is to die for :).

Gutted I didn't have the ability to buy a Mk4 R32 when they were still decent coin. Nice ones are going for £lol nowadays. Ridiculous noise.

I've also had a Golf mk3 VR6 and a Golf mk4 V6 4Motion. It's a lovely engine. Tunnels are a joy. In the US there is an annual VR6 meetup called Wookies In The Woods because Chewbacca noise :)

CUPRA Born VZ arrived today to replace my V2. More power 326PS, bigger battery, great seats ( better than my Recaro CS in my M3)active dampers and loads of tiny improvements to make a good car even better

Forest Green with the optional forged tornado wheels and Bridgestone P sport tyres rather than EV eco ones.

Very pleased so far

I'm absolutely gutted I passed over an absolutely mint one a few years ago, think it was a 98 plate but I've forgotten now. One owner from new who'd barely done any miles, just under 8K, and stored it properly - it was like new literally not an inch of corrosion.

Nearly bought one which had a bored engine but the owner changed their mind on selling - good thing though as the engine destroyed itself sometime later.

Not really in a position to own one currently as anything on sale now almost certainly will need a decent bit of maintenance.

@Simon - Interested to hear your experience with the DCC and modes.

I use performance mode all the time (Tavascan) as it feels just right. Cupra mode is really twitchy and feels like you get full power anyway when you hit the switch at full pedal extension.

Shame you can't default the custom profile.

Need some dry roads and bedded in tyres and will feedback. The drive mode button and Cupra mode make it easy to go to the individual setting. Was a bit of a faff before having to use the screen in the V2

First impression are the Stiffer tyres and extra 150kg do make it feel different.

My son's new WAV, he is over the moon and can't wait to go on some longer trips without worrying about being near a Changing Places toilet. Excuse the poor photos, not sure how I got a finger tip in shot.
Excuse my ignorance but what is WAV?
