Borderlands 4 (2025)

Was watching a YouTube video on this last night, game looks absolutely stunning maxed out with Ray tracing and lumen, but holy moly 35-49 FPS on a 5090 and 9800x3D
I get 130fps on my 5070TI, all maxed (apart from motion blur), I assume said youtube video user was on 4k? Or not using DLSS?

Yup, running native. But then if you do that with Black Myth:Wukong you only get around 28fps at 4K. So, there are more egregious examples of games relying on AI upscaling etc to provide adequate performance.

I've never played a BL game before, can anyone explain why I would have a level 50 gun in my inventory already when I'm only level 5? I can sell it for 230k. I don't know where I even got it from. I assumed that drops would always be around my level.

Also, I'm not the best at following stories in games, but I have no clue what is going on or why I'm doing it.
Pre-order bonus items. I think one of them can be used at lvl 1, another at lvl 30 and then the lvl 50 item you've mentioned. Just put them in your bank until you can use them.

Shame they moved to ue5, i see no difference really or not much between bl4 and bl3, only by watching stuff mind you, not got game yet.

Same spec here, DLSS and frame gen at 2x at 4K and I'm getting 120+ FPS. I honestly can't tell the difference with DLSS/FG on or off in terms of visuals or input latency.

Noticed this as well. I saw there was a texture streaming setting in the options. Is that safe to whack up to the highest level does anyone know? Not sure if that is the answer here.

Not a single issue with this setting at max.

The textures loading in on the guns is bothering me as I've noticed it now. Must be a way around it. Also WHY OH WHY is compare not on by default in the inventory:mad:
Not seen this. If you have a gen 4 nvme drive or 5 i would install the game on those.

There's something weird going on with this game and performance inconsistencies. I'm getting 50+ at 4k native with everything maxed on a 7950X3D/5090. Running with DLSS on quality puts it in pretty solid territory.

There's no denying some people are struggling with it despite having high-end hardware, but I wonder if it isn't either bottlenecking somewhere else (RAM?) or having some kind of software conflict.

Whats the memory usage like on this? I have 16 GB, and I know they suggest 32. But I am wondering what performance is like until I get some more Ram.
