Cant say that I care really that BL3 might look better (subjective of course) or run better. BL4 is simply a far better game than BL3, which is all I really care about :)

I did not mind BL3 myself, so if better thats great news, just confused with BL4 being on UE5 and not looking as good to me, god, even BL2 still looks great to me.
its more open world a lot more while previous games would load up a small area hence the higher demand for not much better graphics plus the unreal engine 5 tax on hardware.

im loving it so far and i played all the other ones, the gameplay is spot on :)

Why would you want a level 50 gun from the beginning? Surely that’ll completely disrupt the balance of the game?

Because it looks awesome and gives incentive to play the game, consistent numbers of players make the game look better for those on the fence and it'll result in certain people playing just to equip it. :p

That's great, i love everything BL, i will deffo be buying somewhen.

Like many I suspect I've also played them all, currently I rank them like this

BL2 = BL4
Wonderlands (The DnD player in me just clicked with this)
BL1
BL3

At the moment, I'm struggling to seperate BL2 and BL4 in my rankings and so have them tied at the top
I'm very similar.

BL2/BL4 very much equal at the moment,
BL1
BL3

Pre-Sequal being the runt of the litter as far as I'm concerned. Didnt click with this one, I found the overwhelming Aussy influence to be a bit grating.

Havnt played Wonderlands so cant speak for that.

going from bl3 to bl2 was a bit jarring for me when i was replaying em a while back gameplay wise, bl2 story and bl3 gameplay was spot on and now borderlands 4 gameplay is the best :)

u forgot the moon one? that sucked tbh i would forget it too lol

For all that I thought the writing had been sanded down a bit, I found a quest involving threshers last night that was as screwed up as anything in BL2. I approve!

I guess it's like they always teach in creative writing classes: when in doubt, go back to the bestiality well.

Anyone playing on a 3090 at 4k?

I keep dying on normal, what am I missing?
Your shots! :p

Not got BL4, but if it's like any of the others (except the first), I'd probably suggest changing your gun. There's generally gun types which are crap and ones which are better, then they'll 'balance' things and that'll change. If you're far enough in, it might be your build.

Normal difficulty is quite hard when starting out and might be a bit of a shock if you're used to BL2 and BL3 (though BL1 was really nasty early on). Bosses, in particular, were killing me quite a bit until I got some better guns. A few quick tips:

- Keep an eye on your health bar. There isn't much visible damage feedback, so it's easy to find yourself knocked over without having realised you were in trouble unless you keep glancing at the bottom left of the screen.
- Watch out for the "world bosses" that spawn in transparent domes on the map. These are very tricky early on and you might even run out of ammo fighting some of them. When you do fight them, try to kill most but not all of the smaller enemies quickly. Keep a couple of less-threatening mobs around in case you need to get out of Fight for your Life.
- Switch out guns ruthlessly. At low levels, a gun's level and its DPS stat matter far more than its rarity. Don't be afraid to drop from a blue to a white in the single-figure levels, if the white has better damage.

Once you hit level 10 or so, things start to get easier as you have more choices on skills and weapons.
